you see, when i went to japan, i fell in love with some aspects of culture. so in they go. Seiryou wasn't originally going to be a part of this either, but we now get a glimpse of where Min'hira was raised!

I just saw the characters (their facesets too), I like them. I have a good feeling about this! Plus, I saw some screenies, your mapping skills are very good. And I love the sprites, too. I love vampies (The first one was Te'ijal XD).
Hope to see the demo soon, I'm waiting for it ^_^

delphinus: no, unfortunately, the music is something that i can't do on my own, and my friend can only do more modern stuff. so i'm using the RTP music, and occassionally stuff i find up for grabs on resource sites. why? you voulenteering?

MC: yeah, i'm thinking i should probably put the facesets where people can see them, but i'm hoping to get the facemaker ones out of there and put in the ones i drew soon. i'm glad you like my mapping ^^ i practiced before i put anything up here XD also glad you like the sprites. i had to redo Min'hira some three times XD

still no demo, but UPDATES!!!!!

i just went through and changed the entirety of the vampire castle. it's much darker now. and i like it. it took me some getting used to, but i like it. i see that i didn't have any "before" pictures for you to compare with. oh well. suffice to say it's much better now. i'd upload screenshots, but my photobucket seems to be hating me. grr. my life has hated me today. moving on. the castle will stay a surprise, then. after all, it's where you spend most of the game, you'll probably be sick of it by the time you're done XD

EDIT: last night, my friend who shall hereby be known as Aauna and i bounced ideas off of each other and four more quests fleshed themselves out and will shortly be programmed. best word i can think of add here to describe my feelings on this is "w00t" XD we also redid min'hiras sprite for the third time, and it no longer looks like he's wearing a sweater. he looks much more min'hira-ish now. exactly the way i want.

and--yes, i know i've said this before XD--the demo is not far away! ...but i can actually say that this time! because it isn't! i'm working on the last few quests as we speak! then i'll run through it, make sure i didn't do anything completely stupid (ie, forget to set passability on tilesets. it's happened ), then send it off to my betatesters, then you should get a demo. huzzah ^^

i'm shooting for christmas break--so probably sometime between christmas and new year's. so yeah, a little more than a month, if i can help it. it's tech week for the play this week, and exams after that--so it definately won't be out before thanksgiving.

Update: (yeah, it's only been how long since my last post? hehe, i was actually working on something for that time ^^ )

i just more-or-less took care of that stupid Labyrinth that i've been putting off for ages. and by god, if i never see that freakin tileset again it'll be too soon XD well...maybe not...i'm not sure i like this labyrinth though--it's called the Labyrinth of the Mirror, after the song Kagami no Naka no Meiro by Daisuke Asakura, but i think it's pretty short on mirrors............ah well. i'll figure something out XD but, if anyone was interested in hearing the voice that became Heiro'tama Fukaiira, check out Labyrinth of the Mirror on youtube. the vocals are done by Hiroyuki Takami--yes, he's japanese, he was an english major before he dropped out of college--and it's what inspired that baka, baka labyrith. maybe i'll listen to it again myself to pick up some new ideas.....

enough rambling. glad to see someone is still paying attention to me and my little game. (even if she is hyperventilating while doing so...i should take that as a compliment i suppose... *goes and gets Kamae just incase there's need for a Raise spell* XD XD

I'm SO CLOSE to being ready to send the demo to my beta-testers. So close! And i'm serious this time! only a couple more quests to program, monsters to add, and numbers to fudge with--then i'll be there!
