i see on the website that it stats june 2009 but does anyone know exactly what day?

No one knows, even Amanda. We just started beta testing Chapter 1 less than 48 hours ago.

She HOPES to release Chapter 1 in early June, and chapter 2 sometime in July. However, it will all depend on how many bugs, etc, we find, and how long it takes to find the causes & fix them.

I'm more than willing to wait however long it takes. I'd rather have a bug free game than a rushed release full of bugs. I recently had that problem with another game I bought and now I can't play it until it gets thoroughly beta tested again and updated.

I think your idea for Chapters is marvelous, Amanda! It's pure genius! I can't wait to play the first chapter... seems like it's been forever since AV2 came out! Excellent!

I have a feeling its going to end up coming out right before my finals and then Im not going to be able to resist and wont get any studying done...

@Adelaide: Haha, me too. Aveyond 1 was the first game I played, and I literally cried when it ended. Because it seemed as if the only thing I lived for is gone now. No, really.

That's a good idea...I'll consider it as a win-win for both parties...

Anyway, i hope aveyond 3 is available here in our country, the same date as its release.

I'm so really gonna buy it...whatever its cost..seriously...

Yeah, it's pretty neat idea! Atleast we'll not go crazy waiting for a year or so for each AV release. Not to say that 3 months is a short time either

The thing I like about this is that there will not be a long wait between chapters. I like it being broken up on one side cause it will be nice to give feedback on how we like it. I don't like it being broken up into two halves cause if each chapter is 10 hours well I can beat that in a week. So then I'll be waiting a few weeks for chapter 2 to come out and then months or longer for the next game. I'd rather have it all at once and beat it in 2 to 3 weeks which is typically how long it takes me cause I play for hours at a time. It's good that it won't be a delay for too long for the next game, but I think it will be hard for me to play half the game and then stop and wait for the rest of it.

You have to keep in mind ten hours is just an estimate.

...and from what I've read from others, it's the low end of the estimate.


I'll say it again:

(AV3 Chapter 1 + AV3 Chapter 2) > AV1 or AV2

And I've heard that was going to be Av4 was going to be added into Av3, so it might not be just two chapters.

I thought I remember that Av3 and Av4 might be joined together. *sigh* I'll just wait for more news and info to know.

Amanda said AV3, AV4 and AV5 were going to be a trilogy. That was before AV3 was split into two chapters. Certainly there will be more to come - the end of chapter 2 will not be the end of the game, and I'm very excited to see what will come with future chapters.

This is entirely speculation, but if you imagine AV3, AV4 and AV5 were originally planned to be the same length as AV1 and AV2, that means the series would have 6 chapters, as each would be split into two chapters. In reality, there might be fewer or more, but one thing's for certain - there's more to come after chapter 2

Aaaawww...all these topics are making me crazy~! I can't wait to grab it and start playing...

So the first chapter will be released in June, hn? What about the second? I really, really, can't wait...

Six chapters, huh? Will the main characters stay the same till the end?
