Yeah, it's pretty neat idea! Atleast we'll not go crazy waiting for a year or so for each AV release. Not to say that 3 months is a short time either

The thing I like about this is that there will not be a long wait between chapters. I like it being broken up on one side cause it will be nice to give feedback on how we like it. I don't like it being broken up into two halves cause if each chapter is 10 hours well I can beat that in a week. So then I'll be waiting a few weeks for chapter 2 to come out and then months or longer for the next game. I'd rather have it all at once and beat it in 2 to 3 weeks which is typically how long it takes me cause I play for hours at a time. It's good that it won't be a delay for too long for the next game, but I think it will be hard for me to play half the game and then stop and wait for the rest of it.

You have to keep in mind ten hours is just an estimate.

...and from what I've read from others, it's the low end of the estimate.

And I've heard that was going to be Av4 was going to be added into Av3, so it might not be just two chapters.

I thought I remember that Av3 and Av4 might be joined together. *sigh* I'll just wait for more news and info to know.

Amanda said AV3, AV4 and AV5 were going to be a trilogy. That was before AV3 was split into two chapters. Certainly there will be more to come - the end of chapter 2 will not be the end of the game, and I'm very excited to see what will come with future chapters.

This is entirely speculation, but if you imagine AV3, AV4 and AV5 were originally planned to be the same length as AV1 and AV2, that means the series would have 6 chapters, as each would be split into two chapters. In reality, there might be fewer or more, but one thing's for certain - there's more to come after chapter 2

I beat Av1 in 24 hours game time more than once. The first time I played it took 46 hours game time and gradually got reduced the more I played it. After I beat it the 4th time it took 23 hours. I guess I'm thinking that it should only take 20 hours game time to beat the whole game for AV3. I know I could probably beat AV1 in 20 hours, but it'd be difficult kind of. As to real time I can beat AV1 in a week if I play only 3 hours a day. AV2 much less than that. I guess I'm thinking I will have chapter 1 finished in a week, but I can make it take longer and this is the first time playing. I'm even refusing to look at any hints or walkthroughs or anything like that the first time I play. So maybe instead it will take me 2 weeks or longer and then the next chapter will be out. I can't buy it yet so I'm doing the trial so next week I will be able to play more of the game so I might be fine and won't have to wait long for the next chapter. It doesn't matter I know I'm going to play this game multiple times. So it will be fine.

Well I don't think that your playing depends on using walkthroughs or goodies.
I know that many of AV lovers don't use those things.
I don't use those things either and yet finish the game in like 18-19 hours (talking about AV1&2)
But I play all day lol, so it's understandable that with playing 2-3 hours a day you can play the game a lot longer, like a week XD

I understand now that Aveyond is divided into chapters, that's why it cost only $10 instead of the usual 20.

The second chapter is the second half of what was a full AV3 game. It will probably come out in July.

The next chapter is called Aveyond: Gates of Night.
