You need to head out to the thieves woods (west of Lief's Haven). Speak to the thieves in the tents for a hint to reach their leader.

Yeah, it's quite possible that William's mother has Dwarven blood as you can conclude from the hazelweed/stinkweed episode.

Answer them as a thief would - lie. Change all your answers to the opposite that you think you would. Then a bridge will be available.

Use the wind to your advantage. The bendy trees will launch you different distances, depending on when you jump. The trick is to jump in time with the wind. It affects how far you fly.
