Okay - so I'm confused on this issue of getting your characters ready for Ch. 2.

Finished Ch. 1 - LOVE IT. SO GLAD we'll get more next month or so!!!

I understand that in Ch. 2 you can either start fresh OR use the characters you've equipped and leveled up from Ch. 1.

Here's what I don't understand:
There's a pretty big discrepency between a new character and a maxed out character. So, how is that going to affect gameplay?

I kinda want to spend the month getting my guys rich and strong for Ch.2, but is that going th make the game painfully easy?

Or if not, if you start fresh won't you just die a lot?

Hubby says maybe the game is scaled for that... but if so what is the point leveling up if it's not going to be any advantage?

Third option that just occurred to me would be - I guess if you are all leveled up and ready to go then your character are prepared to get in a boat and go to more difficult places in order to advance the game whereas newbies will have to put in some time fighting foxes and spiders before they're ready to take on the world off the mainland?

Lots of guessing and assuming. I'd love an answer b/c I want to prep my characters, but I kinda want a better understanding of how that's gonna work out...

Anyone know?

Edited for an additional question: if there a max level? Like, you can only level up to 99 or something? I've never done that before but I'm pretty excited about the game and want to keep playing. If I got my character to level 99, can they advance in hp/mp/other stats past that or it just stops then (in which case, I probably want to hold off b/c it won't be satisfying later to kill bad guys). This is a less important question as I'm not sure I've got the discipline to go that far...

You can choose to continue your game from chapter 1. If you do that, you'll have all the same party, with the same equipment, at their current levels.

I did finish the main quest and still has some side quest, plus would like to play and work on my levels and eggs. How can I do this? Will my unsolved side quest still be there in the chapter 2. Thank you for help.

Yes. I think the unsolved ones will be in Chapter 2, since, it is a continuation of the game.

However, if you really want to finish all the side-quests in chapter 1, load a save file before the final battle and you can finish them.

i finished it too. stupid witch. wow that was short. i was expecting atleast collecting two or one of the keys. anyway im excited to play the next. and to play Lydia too. i liked her personality when Mel first had a scene with her.

what side quest do you still have? i think i have unfinished side quest too.

question will the wine side quest be available in book two? and can i uninstall the game already or is it required for the book 2?

Yes,there are more wine quest in Book 2 and you can continue the wine quests in book 1 as well.

The save files in chapter 1 are required for chapter 2, if you want to continue your game.
However you may start a new game in chap 2 if you wish.

I tried again and now I can continue to play, I am happy about it. I want to walk around and collect some more eggs on the farm. I later go then back to the final quest. Hope all my eggs are then there in chapter 2 and hope my level is the same as now. Can anyone tell me if this is so?

From my understanding what ever level you are at and anything you have collected will be available if you save it after the final battle in LoT

oh yeah. the egg in the little VX character looking guy. (in short the dwarf) is that supposed to be in book2?

yes. You'll get the golden egg in book 2 if you do the right things

Thank you. Am I right when I won the final quest I just save it in menu and wait until chapter 2 will be released? I will wait with the saving cause I like to cruise around still a bit i so much fun. I am so glad a new aveyond is out, and the chapter thingy is great, I hope there will be many chapters to come.

Lara, yes, when you finish the game, you will be given the opportunity to save it. However, it will be in a special place reserved for chapter 2 save files, not with the chapter 1 save files. So you save it into a new slot, then you can go back and replay chapter 1 as often as you like, without fearing you're going to accidentally overwrite your chapter 2 file.

But when we start a new game in chapter 2, what about the sidequests we've done? So when we start it, all the previous sidequests which is said to affect the future outcome, would it be taken such as we didn't do them? And only when we start up the old save slot we saved after we completed GoN, then will we have the side quests done and the endings different?

Like for example the soul quest at T&G's pov, it will affect what you see next time when you return back to Ghed'ahre? So when we start a new game in GoN it will be treated as if we didn't do all these eh?

So basically when we start a new game in Chapter 2 we will start with a new bland character who has not done any side quests yet (like the soul thing.)?

For attraction points, in Chapter 2 you can return to Chapter 1 locations, so it's fine.

If you started a new game and missed sidequests, you will just have to see a poor moaning person without his soul and stuff like that, also you won't have the rewards and spoils from those quests.
