I have stop sign by eAccelaration I don't know what version it is but I was having problems with both games at first because it kept cleaning it for a trojan. I hope this helps.

No worries, we're on top of this again. It appears that every time we release a game, this cycle occurs.

1) Anti-virus name: McAfee

ETA: McAfee's code checkers at their WebImmune site are saying there really is a virus in the code to Aveyond II.

So, i have had a problem with ESET NOD32. I don't know how to find the version but it was installed a little over a year ago. It warned me about Aveyond(4).exe but i didn't permit it to delete the file. I didn't see ESET noted in any of the replies here so thought i'd mention it.

I bought and downloaded the game today and as soon as it was installed, the Aveyond.exe was deleted. I could install it properly by disabling Norton Internet Security Auto Protect, but after a few minutes, it would crash. I also tried to put Aveyond.exe on Nortons SafeList, but when I enabled Auto Protect again, that wouldn't stop it from deleting the file.
I hope that a solution can be found soon.

EDIT: I can play the game now by disabling Auto Protect, but everytime I want to play it again, I need to reinstall it. At least the savegames aren't gone. Great game btw

And were you aware of the language in Laxius Force 1? I had no idea of it, until I bought it.

First step... updat your database... we've already worked with them to fix their "anti-virus" product.

If you are unable or unwilling to download their update, simply place the file in the products "exclusions" list.

If you prefer, you may consider the use of products (free ones) that do not have this issue:

To answer your question as to where it came from... McAfee "updated" their heuristic database and we got hit by the change. It has overwhelmingly been proven false, and they have made the necessary update in their current database.

I have Avast free version and it is up to date, but it won't let me install Aveyond build c aveyond.exe. It did allow me aveyond 2 and all the others but not AV1.

Same here. My version of Avast (last updated yesterday) has detected a Win32:Trogan-gen virus/worm within Aveyond.exe during installation.

EDIT (12-Sep-2009): Strangely, I don't get this problem with Ahriman's Prophecy (which was an RPG Maker 2003 game, while Aveyond appears to be RPG Maker XP-based), which installed cleanly.

EDITSON, SON OF EDIT (13-Sep-2009): When I tried to install the game on my computer with Norton 360, no warnings were sounded. Everything was fine until I noticed that the game installed without the executable in the folder. I do believe that would qualify as "not right", wouldn't you?

I am trying to download Aveyond 2. I have updated everything that needs to be updated. My McAfee is still saying that it is a virus. I have even turned off the McAfee, but as soon as I turn it back on it quarintines it. It says that it is a Generic BackDoor!qp Trojan.

*sigh* false positives are cropping up again. If anyone has a new report, let me know and I'll contact the virus companies who are giving false positives.

It appears that many anti-virus software companies are using a list provided by Kaspersky. When I get them to update their list, the problem should be fixed for many people with different anti-virus solutions.
