You're not exactly in the wrong place. That is the secret dungeon of the game and it is ridiculously hard.
At this point you may want to go to the tower and finish the game, and try going to the secret dungeon after you beat the game a second time using new game plus (you will keep all your current level and items).
Or if you don't wanna beat the game just yet you can train and come back later. In short, that part of the game is not needed to finish it, its extra.

well i finally beat the game,thanks for the help all but now the game keeps freezing on me in new game plus?i dunno

ok i beat the game but now im having some issues,i started new game plus and alls good until i take the airship to the oasis from there i go west until i come to the part where the 2 cactus block your path.when i fight them the game freezes on me and i thought it might just be a freak thing so i did it several times and same result....luckily you can walk right underneath them to go around so okay im good for now,then when im making my way to the tower and im fighting the snowman same results,the game freezes right away and i tried like 4 times same result so now im pretty much screwed cuz theres nowhere at this point in the game i can go.....im replaying to do the secret dungeon but looks like i wont be getting there for now

yep latest version...no other problems for me at all but this,im just glad i got to finish it first tho im only at 95%...if u figure this out lemme know thx bahamut

I have uploaded a new patch that will take care of that problem on those two monsters.

There is no way for me to know if other battles will have the same problem so if you encounter any more problems please let me know.

k i beat the game again and no more problems with it freezing thx bahamut and i finally got the stake and the meat and finished everything almost 100% complete! the only other things i noticed were 1.after i fought trent the magician one of my guys turned into a frog for the rest of the game,i dont now whats up with that 2.after i beat the chess guy and the guardian at the ruins 2 of my guys switched places somehow 3. other then that i still havent had the option to make armor for some reason i dunno and as far as the game goes theres still a few places you can walk into further then you should like the gypsy s back wall and in the west of the oasis,no big deal and in the town hall if you try to go up the stairs or door the text is still in spanish and after u beat the vampire the girl speaks in spanish...question,do the doors in the elf village that are closed stay closed?whats with the symbols for the bad guys in the werewolf store and why does that angel still kick my ass in the secret dungeon,its getting on my nerve cuz i keep playing so i can do that part

The frog issue, it is a glitch and I have taken care of it. I will upload a patch in the next day or so.

To create a magic armor, you just need a normal armor plus some gems. So you should be able to create one, I'm not sure what you mean here

Yes, the doors in the elf village that are closed stay closed.

The symbols for the bad guys basically make them stronger, in case you feel they're, you know, too easy for you.

And the angel... well that's the toughest part of the game as I told you, and it's extra. If you can get to beat all the angels you can get a special equip that's uberpowerful.

thx for the reply,as far as the magic armor the only option i get when i go to the alchemist is to make a magic weapon and its been like that both times thru and i got tons of gems and armor but its nothing at this point i just wanna beat that angel! oh btw i d/l the new patch and my guy is still a frog

Hi, I just made to the tower, and I just beat the first Archangel and I'm on the floor beneath the floor where I fought him and I'm totally confused on how to do the puzzle where you have to step on a certain spot in the floor. I did the first part, but the second part is what is pestering me, because the crazy tiles keep resetting themselves. Please tell me how to do this puzzle...So confused...
