Not in as much as I used to be. Probably because I have two projects on the go right now which are time consuming and two completely different types of rpg.
So yes, I'm still around the place....just.

OK so I've started playing this game, so far so good. The only thing that's been bothering me is the FONTS. Makes it so hard to read. And why oh why YELLOW?! >_<

I love the font, I hope it's freeware as I'm keeping it, and I like the lemon yellow. I don't find it hard to read with my rather poor eyesight. One can't please all of the people all of the time!
![]() This game is perhaps aimed at younger players, or perhaps it's only that the author is very young. It is pretty to look at, very simplistic and with shoddy English, but very playable, and of course free, no complaints there. ![]() I had the impression that the author is a native English speaker who is not fully literate, but I may be wrong. Many game authors seem to be from non-English-speaking backgrounds, so it's a wonder they manage as well as they do. A girl named Virgil? Er, not sure if anyone noticed, but Virgil is very much a male name. Very much so. Oh, well. I learned from reading this board that there is a sequel already out and there will be a third game to wind up the series. Devotees will be pleased about that. So many games, so little time! If you ask me, a simple game with a good story and character development is far preferable to a slick commercial game with flashy graphics and no heart. Writing games must be fun as so many people do it, so they must really enjoy it. It's probably the most fun way to do maths. I wonder if teenage authors tell their teachers about their game writing and ask to make it a class project? The author of a famous series did that once, many years ago, can't remember his name, nicknamed Lord British after his character. He wasn't a scholar at all and his teachers gave in because it was the only way they were going to get some work out of him. Then he went on to become rich and famous, ha ha.Happy new year to all.

Yellow... it makes everything harder to read because it's so bright (even if the fonts are simple.)
"MASSIVE" SPOILERS AHEAD!!!! If you don't mind spoilers, then look. If you ABSOLUTELY hate them, then skip it. OK. I'm in a part when Marcus died. But I'm not complaining that the author is giving the character an early death... it's just that when he died, NO ONE was even sad! They were just- "...." "Oh wait...he's dead?!" "...." "Oh well!" *shrugs & continues mission like nothing happened* OK maybe they didn't exactly said that but srsly, they didn't even show a little sympathy. None! And they immediately found someone to replace him... wth?! o.> Oh and I'm kinda stuck. I'm at the part with the new character (replacement for Marcus) and I don't know where to go.

Hi everybody!
I got last week a new comp using Windows 7. All the RMXP games I've tried so far work nicely, except "Mists of Naladia" and "Symphonic Rhapsody". (I didn't try yet the other games made by Darkhalo though.)I get that "RSS player stopped working" error message. I downloaded the RGSS103J and put it in the game folder; tried to turn off the UAC for RGSS; tried to follow the advice given by Aura (post 31), and of course, I adjusted the program so that it's now compatible with Windows XP. Nothing's working and I'm turning mad! Any idea, anybody? Pretty please!

I don't know if this will help at all, but have you both tried uninstalling the game and reinstalling it? And as I know some people don't reboot, have you done so?
Apart from this, I can only suggest contacting DarkHalo, who has posted here. I just checked Google and found this: http://www.google.com.au/webhp?rls=ig ... ell=1&fp=612d84aabfa6a492 Just in case you hadn't found it already. Good luck.

have you both tried uninstalling the game and reinstalling it Oh yes I did. I was obliged, because my previous PC had Windows XP, and all the datas I stored in an external hard drive had to be made compatible. Anyway, none of the VX or XP games can work now, though I re-installed them directly to my main hard drive, so the problem is not related to the game, but to the system. Thanks for the links, I will eventually explore it. ![]() Sorry that I bothered you, and thanks a lot for the quick answer. ![]()

Are you using Vista? If so, try the fix suggested by Aura in post #31. ![]()

Izazi, you didn't bother me at all, I would have been glad to help if I had been able to, though I'm not sure if I was able to. But what I do suggest is that you find DarkHalo's post and see if you are able to contact him (I had the idea that DarkHalo is male and I'll look silly if I'm wrong!) as it was he who wrote the game and it's at least possible he may be able to help.
I don't know what else to suggest, good luck with it.

Okay, apologies for the absence.
As for the RGSS issue I suggest you try what was posted up in #31. With this standalone version there was no DLL 103J included, only the 100J/2 & 102E which globally covers most. There were problems with Vista as I recall. As for a third installment, its quite likely once London Gothica and Seal of Seasons have been made. Therefore that takes it to the end of 2010 before it gets under way. DH.

Hello Pandaba, thank you very much for the desert map! I didn't realise I had to follow a certain strict route.
I couldn't reply to your PM as the reply button doesn't work, so I couldn't send a message. But at least now I can play the game once again. Thanks!

I'm stuck near the beginning.
I've been to see Virgil's father and have come back to the town (seems no other route possible) but can't work out what to do next. I assumed that the child's remark about underground caverns and 'entrance around here' were significant, but can't find anything like an entrance. Also the reference about 'the underground jail system' seems to suggest the same thing Am I mising something? Thanks in advance. Edit I'm an idiot! I clicked on the one person I hadn't checked and there it all was!!! So, now I'm sorted.

Stuck again. I've teleported to Nadar and Jasmine, Marcus & Ruth have said they will meet me tomorrow & look round the town. Done all that, but no matter what I do when I go back to the room where they were, they never arrive. Left it for a while and then, just to be sure, I replayed the whole thing in case I missed something, but couldn't spot anything. How do I get them to re-appear?
