Copied saved file from 3-1 to 3-2. And it runs. Characters are same level exept for Mel who is level 1 (why???) and I got all my equipment. BUT!!! I can´t move on. King always asks me to get the map from the shelf - and there is no map. If I start with a new game I find it on the shelf but I want to continue my saved progress from LoT and if I do so there is no map and game doesn´t go on!!! Please help solve this problem, otherwise it would be a great disappointment.
Liked Aveyond so far but this splitting into pieces causes lot frustration if it is not possible to start the new chapter from the end of the previous. I was looking forward to continue playing - not loosing all my progress and quests so far!

if you saved you game when you were asked after completing LoT you don't have to copy it at all, it is already saved in right place, you had just to start playing GoN

Click on "New quest" and not "Load quest", it'll prompt you to choose your save.

can´t remember when I finished LoT (but I did), but when I started GoN my people where level 20 - in LoT 50 up. while trying to solve the problem I de- and reinstalled both games and copied savefiles to another folder. There is no autosavefile in chapter 2 any more. and now?

If all of the characters are the same level but Mel somehow got reset to level 1, and you still have all of the equipment you had at the end of LoT, then this sounds like an actual technical problem/bug. You might want to post this over at the technical problems forum to see what kind of help you can get.

The thing is, there is no need for you to copy your save files. If you've completed LoT and saved the end game save in the GoN save menu, nothing should be wrong. What I think you did is take some other LoT save file and copied it over to the GoN folder, in which case, of course it won't work. The correct save file should say "Continue Book 1" in the save menu.

I have the same problem. When I did start a new game, then the levels were right and I could get the map, but I have none of my items and such. Is this right?

Thanks for your answers. Seems to be a technical problem - when I started new game there was no option for start a saved one. that´s really disappointing! maybe I just did something wrong by starting GoN and hope there will be a way to fix this problem.

When you finished LoT, it should have asked you to save your game for GoN.

Now when you start GoN, choose Load Game and that save you made in LoT should be there. The save should be titled "Continue Book 1".

The load prompt you get when you start a new game in GoN is just there in case you forgot you had a save from LoT.

As the title says, I can't find the End game save. I beat LoT, saved it at the end but when I downloaded the GoN trial, it wasn't there. Can someone tell me how to fix this, or at least tell me why this happened?

make sure you're playing with the same windows user profile you played and saved LoT with.

If it's not there, open the technical FAQ (it's on top of the Technical Questions forum) and find out how to search for the Av3 save files. Check if it's there.

I am. And yes, I found the saves where FAQ says they were supposed to be. There are two save files in chapter 1 and one save file in chapter 2, which is correct.

If so, the "Load Game" option should be active. Click it and select the save game file that says "Continue Book 1".

If it still doesn't work, you'll have to wait for an admin to solve your prob.

Just out of curiousity, what language is your computer, and if you start a new game and save it, where does the save file end up in?

The save file doesn't show up. The language is English. For the last question... I'm not exactly sure >_<

try starting a new game, save in the first slot, then do a search for save1.rxdata

I have completed av3 and it asks we need your save data to play av4,you can use the things that you have in av4.. i have bought av4 but the prb is how i load that data in av4? i have tried posting that saved data in av4 folder... but it does not seems to work? wat should i do/?

You don't have AV4, since it hasn't been made yet.

If you played Lord of Twilight (AV3, chapter 1) and finished your game and saved it when prompted, you just need to play Gates of Night (AV3, chapter 2), and from the menu, choose Load Game.

Your completed Lord of Twilight game will be sitting there waiting for you.

You don't need to copy or move it anywhere - in fact, if you've moved it, you need to move it back to where it was. The file should be in the Aveyond 3/Chapter 2 folder.

We've tried to make it as easy for you as possible. LoT put the save file exactly where it knew GoN would go looking for it.

How can I return to the parts previously saved game?I mean Aveyond: Lord of Twilight. Because when I started this game, take it from the beginning and I don't want. I heard that I can continue playing if I saved the end of game Lord of Twilight.

Just open the load menu (if it's avaiable), and load a savefile that should have the name "Continue from LoT". or something like that.
