Yes Valentine's Day is fast approaching. For the first time since... well... I don't even know I do not have someone special to send flowers, chocolates, diamonds, or anything else to. This is good for my budget and bad for my ego. Can I get an "awww?"

Still, there will be a lucky lady, maybe next year, maybe next month: So I want to hear some romantic valentine's stories! Give me and our other readers some munitions to use at a later date, or in two weeks, to woo our ladies with savoir-faire. The only rule is, don't be mad when I tell the dame I thought of it myself. I'm no fool, after all.

Why aww? I find Valentine's day annoying as it gives people even more excuses to just stay in the way and make out.

If you're making out, please go to the sides, NOT the middle of the road/hallway/or any other high people traffic areas. Some people are actually trying to get to class and get irritated with so many human size speed bumps suddenly appear.

What's wrong with a little PDA?! When *I* see someone kissing near me my first instinct is to show them what a REAL pro can do and outdo them 10 fold. You think you're a cute couple, watch THIS move.

You can send things to me, if it makes you feel any better. Let's see ... flowers would wilt over such a long journey, and chocolates would melt or go white and crumbly. I guess that just leaves the diamonds. When hubby asks me why someone is sending me diamonds, I'll just tell him I felt sorry for you

Seriously though, I'm not fussed on Valentine's Day. I got married on February 10, and we had to go to a dozen florists before one would commit to having roses available. Nobody wanted to tell me they could provide roses for our wedding, because Valentine's Day was just around the corner. I never did figure that one out - a sale is a sale is a sale, and I bet my wedding flowers were a lot more expensive than a bunch of a dozen roses.

@thefool: I don't care how much PDA you do. I care if its in my way. I want to get from point A to point B as quickly as possible. If I have to bulldoze my way through, I will lol.

Sides, Valentine's day is also "Single Awareness Day" (SAD for short).

As for roses: I like to point out to people that flowers are plants' sexual organs and you're giving people literal sex objects lol. It makes for some pretty interesting reactions.

Well,I've been blissfully single these past few years so i've no romantic story to tell either. Still,I guess there's enough reason to celebrate since my bday is on the next day And I'll even join a guild by then

At my current age (14), and in a girls' school, I don't have to worry about romance and such. But it doesn't mean Valentines' Day is nothing - I will still try touching the hearts of others and make those who didn't get presents happy. Last year I sewed a blue fish plush toy and attached a note to it and threw it down from the third floor into a crowd below for the lucky person who catches it.

@Kirroha: I can't do something as nice as that. D: I would keep the plushie for myself and not throw it to anyone.

I'm not a big fan of Valentine's Day but it makes a great excuse for my boyfriend and I to splurge on the really expensive and extremely yummy chocolate. It's way too expensive to get on a regular basis but it's well worth it.

Well, I'm quite young myself and my city doesn't really celebrate Valentine's day that much so its just another day for me so I don't have any romantic stories to tell too.

I'm not in any hurry to get a boy friend either. But I'm happy!

On a sadder note though, my cousin just got her first boy friend last month. She was excited and everything and was talking all night long to him and all that. Though, somehow I felt their relationship wouldn't last. And I was right. Exactly one month later, they broke up.

Like the old saying goes:

Well..Valentine's Day is all about love right? Then we can share it with anyone we love.Although the main event is for couples,we can celebrate valentine's day with friends and family too... but that's just I think maybe.
Still..I gave my grandparents a red rose each last year on valentine's day.

In my country we don't celebrate Valentine's day but we have another holiday on 14th - we celebrate the grapes and wine so we get drunk It's more fun than Valentine XD

I've never really liked Valentine, I don't believe that we need a holiday to celebrate the love, love should be celebrated every day, we don't need an occasion.
