CHAPTER 1
As Ean woke up he thought, "What was I supposed to do?" "Oh Well," Ean thought, "I'll find out what it was at breakfast." As he reached the table his mom exclaimed," You are still here. I though tyou would go support Iya in her test" The second he heard this, the cobwebs cleared and he remembered Iya's reaction when she failed last year. No way. She would not attempt suicide again. Cursing inwardly, Ean ran out the door pausing to wear his hat. The signs were not promising. A lot of people had failed. Quickly, he ran to the Great Tree. Soon, it came into view. Next to the tree he saw a girl singing. A girl with blue hair "IYA," Ean shouted, "Did you pass?" The tears in her eyes said it all. "How will I show my face in public? I failed again," Iya exclaimed. "Come on. Try next year. Tell you what let's get some money from the bee hive," Ean said Iya replied," That is your chore. Why should I help you, Ean Okho?" " Come on," said Ean. "Okay," Iya replied. They raced to the bee hives and took a piece of the honey comb. A flutter of wings and the queen bee came and bit them both. They ran away, trying to protect themselves. Soon, they reached Ean's home. Dusk was approaching. "Come on," said Ean's Mom, "Give me the honeycomb so I can make biscuits." Iya said,"Can I have some, please, Miss Okho?" Ean's mom replied that she could have some tomorrow and then she marched Ean to bed and started fussing over the bee bite marks. Hope you guys like it.

I would really appreciate some constructive feedback and criticism as I want to improve my writing skills. Please inform me of any errors as they are errors that I am not aware of.
Chapter 2 Iya went home and was about to knock on the door with a feeling of apprehension. What would her mom say? Not only was this but her kid sister more annoying than any other being on the planet. Resigned to the worst, she knocked on the door. It was the worst. Her little sister opened the door, saw here miserable face and let out a squeal of delight. Then she went in and started chanting, “Failed again! Failed again! Hey! Maybe I will pass before you. Hahaha” Her grandmother was stern faced and reminded her that she; herself had passed in the 3rd attempt. At which Iya remembered that most of the villagers called her a crabby bat. The second her mom came into the room, she consoled her. But the consolation was nothing. Why could she not have been born a human with no expectations of magic? She was, after all, a failure at being an elf. Not wanting to face utter humiliation at the hands of her sister, she ran up to her bedroom and slept.

Chapter 3
Iya went to bed weeping about the lack of respect she received due to her lack of magic. Just before going to bed, she made the wish that would eventually come true. It was, “I wish I was more powerful than all my ancestors put together.” She could have sworn she had gone to bed. What the ---- Snow Queen: Welcome! Iya: Who—who are you? Snow Queen: I am the Queen of Shaenlir, the greatest kingdom on the mainland Iya: Why are you here? Snow Queen: I know your hopes. All can be real if you promise to come with me? Iya: What about my family? Snow Queen: They will forget you Iya: But .. Snow Queen: You are nothing to them. What are you now? A failed singer and a forager’s daughter Iya realized that all this was true. Let her sister become a singer without the taint of an older sister who was a complete failure Iya: Ok Snow Queen: Now come Iya: No, my family Snow Queen: Too late!!! Suddenly a crown and a beautiful dress appeared on her by magic. She looked great. But then she realized the true horror of her situation. Iya: I must be in the Dreamland. EAN! HELP! ANYONE! Really would appreciate any criticism and/or feedback.

Thanks dad0303!
Chapter 4 Ean goes to bed too but unlike Iya sleeps happily. After a while, he sees a white land and a white substance falling from the sky. He hears a little girl saying that it is snow. Next he hears Iya shouting for help as she is dragged in a castle wearing a stately gown and crown. He wakes up, then realises he was asleep and dreaming. Cursing himself, he goes back to sleep and is woken up by the smell of biscuits. The honey comb biscuits were ready. He rushes to his mom and asks for the biscuits, one for him and one for Iya. His mom’s response is unexpected. Mom: Who is Iya? Ean: Mon, you know Iya. Mom: Sure, sure but you only get one biscuit. Ean: Ok Mom: Did you know its snowing? Ean: What is snow? Mom: Go outside and see. He opens the door and sees a wonderful sight. The white thing in his dream was here in the village. But wait, he had seen Iya shouting for help in his dream. No way, it must have been a dream. Still, it would be prudent to check. He rushes to her house and opens the door Iya’s mom: Hello Ean Ean: Hi! Where is Iya, your daughter? Iya’s mom: I don’t have a daughter named Iya. Maybe, the snow has gone to your head Ean wonders, “Why does no one remember Iya? I should check the floorboards under her bed, or at least where it used to be?” He lifts the floor board carefully, so that the rest of the family does not notice. He finds a ribbon and Iya’s diary. Ean: Ha! Iya exists. I am not mad. But why does no one else remember her?

Chapter 5
The wind was blowing fiercely over the town of Elfwood and it had brought snow. Everyone liked the snow as it was mushy, soft and could be easily shaped into toys. The kids were busy making snow men that they had only heard about in fairy tales and felt ridiculously important For Ean, the snow was torture as he could not find Oya. He decided to seek help from the elders. They were crabby, annoying and bad tempered but were very knowledgable. "Elder," said Ean, " No one remembers Iya but I do and I found the gift I gave to her." "Dont annoy me. Go to the great tree. If your problem is true, it will be answered. No, I will not help you." Ean wondered how the tree would help. But he practically raced away to gind the great Oak Elder 1 : What an idiot boy! Elder 2 : Good Riddance. Ean finds the tree and weeps. He notices a weird hole in the trunk Suddenly, the wind stops and the tree speaks. Tree: Go to the land of man through the hole in my trunk. It is a portal. Your friend is in the city of Shaenlir and is in danger. She is with the Snow Queen. Before you ask how you will survive, I tell you that you have a gift of your own Ean: But why Iya? Tree: She is a powerful mage. Yes, I know she failed but she has not realised her potential. Now go, time is of the essence Ean stays on the ground, momentarily stunned. He soon recovers his senses and goes through the hole, hoping that he is asleep.
