The goodie cave doesn't seem to be working properly. Everyone can get their weapons except Mel. I dip the rod into the flame and it says the rod is enchanted with everything to defeat the demon but when I get to the demon, Uma says we aren't strong enough to defeat the demon even though the rod was dipped in the flame in the goodie cave which gave it all the enchantments at once. Is there a way to fix this? I'm using build B.

mmm ... unfortunate glitch. In order to reach all the flames, you are required to complete a number of quests. During this process, the game swaps back and forth between parties a little bit.

If we let you use the goodie cave and go straight to the demon, you would not have to do those quests, and the events would not occur that would swap the parties around. This could mess up a lot of the game, not to mention allow you to bypass several quests.

So, in short, the goodie caves give you best weapons, but do not allow you to skip events and quests in the game. We will not be providing a "fix" for this, as doing so would break the game even more badly. You will still have to go and find all the flames and dip the staff into each one. But Mel's weapon DOES have all the effects already.
