After celebrating his coming of age, Dashiell is privileged to take the month's offerings to the nearby monastery. On his return, he and his friends are attacked by a lone dragon! Shocked to learn dragons live so close to Merivale, Dashiell fears for the safety of his people, but has little time to act - another crisis is looming in the Kingdom of Mayfield, and the men of Merivale are called upon to help resolve it.

Dashiell's world is thrown into turmoil as he discovers secrets that shake the foundation of his trust and beliefs, and threaten the very existence of the dragon clan. Just who is the enemy, and what is the debt that must be repaid to the dragons? Find out in our new game, The Dragons Among Us, due for release in late 2012.

For the curious, The Dragons Among Us is an RPG and will likely be made with RMXP, so though it's NOT an Aveyond game, it will have a fairly similar look and feel.

This sounds really cool. So is this game likely to be released before AV4, since that one's game engine has not even been picked yet? I'm glad to hear that we don't have too long to wait, no matter what.

As much as I love Aveyond, I want to see this one more since I just love dragons , plus, as it's from Amaranth, it's likely be nice

I like how the dragons seem to be morally ambiguous (judging only by the summary). I hope they have a secret community of their own or something to that effect, with their own rule and their own society, cut away from humans.

What I want to know is... will there be dragon eggs? I want to hatch one!

I think that having a dragon in the party would b interesting. Especially if that had special abilities like transforming to look human.

The dragon should have two forms, big dragon and a smaller human-esque one. Big form = can fly --> No need to buy dragons to transport party to another place. Small form --> The one that you travel with normally.

OOH! OOH! A dragon in the party?! Yaaaay! =D Strangely enough, dragon eggs remind me of pokemon eggs (if you've played the game). What if the dragon that gets to be in the party hatches from the egg itself (assuming we have a hatch-able egg XD)

I want dragons in the party too, it'll be awesome. Dragons are one of my favourite mythical creatures, would love it.
