Trying to play the game differently restarting with the new build. I couldn't leave Lars behind - I couldn't go to the north island without seeing the Empress, and after seeing her the game wouldn't let me leave Lars behind. All of the dialogue between Lars and Rhen becomes positive after he joins the party, it's the opening part of the game where he can be an idiot.
I can leave Talia behind, which means that I'll never get her to talk about her son in Aveyond. If I never take Dameon into my party, then I never get that bit of dialogue in Sedona. You can bypass the entire back story on Rhen and Dameon. To have Rhen and Dameon get married after missing all that dialogue just seems a little crazy to me, like someone getting married on the first date.
