I really have nothing against God. Nor do i mean anything mean it to be real sad.

If today they perfected cloning, but it was illegal cause it was used for the purpose of war and gained and banned it.

But they cloned you...

And it became a whole new being, but with wicked and terrifying powers... .... ... ...

And it sought and fought you, questioning why God chose you to have a soul and to be filled with the Holy spirit...

... ... ...

But it had no soul of its own, A will yes but it would pursue you, question and attempt to defeat or kill you, wondering why you had a soul, and it did not. Were promised a place in the Kingdom of heaven, while she was created with no promise.

How would you feel?

How would it feel, If she finally realized why but at that Last moment, God gave you a great temporary burst of strength and you killed him./her at that moment so she wouldnt cause anymore harm to anyone...and herself.

I ask you a question as well: identical twins are clones. Does only one of them have a soul? Which one?

I don't believe in a god, so in a way that part of the questions is irrelevant in my case. But I'll answer them from my point of view anyway.

1. To see myself in another, someone destructive (as I imagine you mean by being without a soul), would probably be very weird. I really don't know how I'd feel.

2. Again, from my point of view. I want to think that I'd be incapable of taking a life, but from what I hear it's quite easy, physically. I really don't know if I could continue living knowing that I'd taken someone else's life, even half-purposefully. Would it matter if it was in self-defence? I don't know, and I hope I'll never find out.

I would feel sorry for it. I would want to know if I gave up my soul could God put it in her. If I did that could she have what I had? Would her soul be healed?

I couldn't destroy her, 'Vengenge belongs to God.'

The Clone is no way related spiritually but physically.

but it would be built for war.

This clone of you/anyone else can plan and think, and go into battle without a care, well...not that it can have one.

as a clone, the creator would remove things that would prevent it from fighting.

Jesus spoke of the Heart... No another heart, we have the Organ heart, but he spoke of the spiritual one within us.

Without a soul, we WOULD be like the animals commiting adultry and everything considered a sin without self control. And a Big bang CAN NOT prevent this.

Eh, I'm an atheist. < that should tell you enough of what I believe of god(s) and souls. But let's say this clone is spiritual as oppose to me:

1. I would probably either defend myself, or try to reason with it. After all, technically I WILL be cast down to the depths of various hells for NOT being part of any religion. And if other aspects of my being solidify, I'm practically guaranteed a spot in hell according to certain religions. I don't see why the clone would WANT my spot in hell lol.

2. How would I feel if I killed? Hmm... Dunno. Though if what I analyzed about myself is correct: Nothing long term ... which is the scary part for me. I know that if I'm pushed enough, I'd lash out physically though I'm able to control that reaction ~98% of the time even when I'm pissed. But that 2%? that's the scary part.

According to established religion (Roman Catholicism for example) I pretty much turned to satan and am screwed lol. I have many hells to choose from which is a small benefit: house of dust, fire pits, ice pits, spikes, various tortures. Good thing I'm an atheist as what I believe in is far more enjoyable: a nice nothing. You die. You stay dead. Poof. hehe

Sides, who decides what has a soul or not hmmm? If we're going to talk about souls, than we have to talk about god(s). And I have MANY grievances against him/her/it/them. Apparently humans god(?) has decided that only humans have souls. The arrogance is very amusing and fun to pick at, one 'truth' at a time.

1. I cannot even imagine "look-alike-like me" would kill someone or rather kill me, i'll probably kill her first in the name of "Peace & Humanity"
2. Let's talk about "human" with "soul" (let's set aside religion) I will not definitely feel any guilty at all since that clone of mine is destroying humankind and creating war.

Speaking logically, a clone is NOT you. therefore, it would stand to reason that if a soul exists, they would have one too. it seems like your saying a clone has no soul, simply because its a biological copy of you, but its not "you." so why cant it have a soul? its living after all, its not sharing your thoughts, or making the choices you made.

Theoretically, you cant remove human free will; even if they are a clone. you can brainwash, drug, provide incentives and such, but you cant remove it, unless the person in question is a robot and not a person at all. unless someone wants to debate me on that...?

@nick: well, what exactly makes a person? If we ever get to the level of freely thinking/learning robots, than why does that thing does not have a soul or is less than a person?

Let's say we have a robot/android/humanoid/etc. that thinks, works, adapts, makes decisions, and feels on its own. Several 'examples' would be I Robot, bicentennial man, battle angel alita, AI,etc. If free will is being able to do all ^ (or some of it), than by definition all those robots would be persons also.

I would have to agree that a clone would have to have a soul. If no life comes into being without coming from God(I am assuming for the record that God is the origin of life), then clones would have a soul. But the Bible also states that the animals are also living souls. Body + Spark of Life(Spirit) = Living Soul. When the spark of life goes out the soul dies.
The spirit on the other hand is I think the issue here. It is the rejection of the Spirit that causes evil. But then again some do good naturally without ever knowing about God and Spirit, these belong to God without even knowing it. The argument is basically Good vs Evil. If you try to destroy evil with malice you become that which you are trying to destroy. Evil must be overcome by good. This whole issue is what made the Lords death so important. He could have killed the devil, but He sacrificed Himself instead, exposing evil for what it was.

Where does it say that only humans have souls? If its due to 'developing in a womb' involved than any mammal would have souls. But what's wrong with developing in an egg? Or what's wrong with bacteria reproduction?

As for wicked dark powers: Wicked/dark is very subjective.

For example: By many religious definition, I'm a blasphemous heretic who will burn/freeze in hell because I don't follow your religion. Since hell is for the 'wicked', that means I'm a wicked evil person even if I'm mostly a law abiding 'good' person.

As for cybernetics/nanotechnology: the technology isn't 'wicked'. It's the uses they're used for that we humans label 'wicked/bad'. if someone lost a limb, than cybernetics/nanotechnology could bring it back rite? That's a 'good' cause. But to turn around, if a person used the tech to become a super mass murderer, than that's bad. (Battle angel alita ppl.)
