I was wondering how people get the pictures in their signatures. I got help for my ava but am lost otherwise. also I don't know anything about html or any of that so any help would be appreicated.

If you have a photobucket account use the bottom code. The one with [IMG] tags and after pasting change them to [img] and post it.

the size limit is something like 430x135 or something like that.

Use the [img] tag. As in (remove the *):
[*img]Insert image URL here[/*img]

Just make sure the siggie adheres to the limit (see this topic).

Is the picture the right size? If it isn't then it will not load.

what's your pic's URL?

Have you uploaded your picture to a hotlink site?
If not try Photobucket, Imageshack or any other if you prefer(many here use Photobucket) You can't load a picture directly here except for your Avatar and in the Collegium w/browse.

After you have your image uploaded there then copy the direct link URL and paste it here with the above mentioned [ img] [ /img] on either end of the picture

I came to know that for adding signature in profile I must have account on photobucket.com and the URL so created there must enter into edit profile option on am. Inspite of this I could not add the image as signature I want to know the procedure of it.

what happened when you tried - did it just show the code and not the image?

It's possibly because when you copy the link from photobucket, the IMG tags are in capital letters. To work in your signature block, they must be in lower case.

So just change IMG and /IMG to img and /img instead, and see how that goes.
