I apologize if this is in the wrong section.
A lot of the games on here are compressed into .rar files instead of .zip files. I can unzip the .zip files fine, but my computer doesn't recognize the .rar files, so I can't do anything with them. Do I need to download something to unzip them?

You'll have to find an extractor that can unzip it. You can find one by searching for ".rar extractor" in google. Some are free and some you have to pay for.
I use 7-zip which is free.

There are Free versions available.
In the link provided above, you'll note the "Free" reference in the "License" column.

Technically, you need to pay for WinZip, as well, but you can use both in "evaluation mode" indefinitely.
