Any hints on how to get through the orc castle? I can't get past the first room with the three guards, keep getting kicked out of the castle.

You just have to watch carefully. When the Orc at the top turns his back, quickly run down and follow the other orc. Be careful not to get spotted by the other orc down there though.

Do you mean you've gone through the side entrance, or are you in the throne room?

If through the side entrance, it's all about staying out of the direct line of sight of the guards. You can follow them, you can almost stand right beside them. But if any of them see you directly in front, it's the boot for you

Just take your time, watch their movements, and walk slowly. If you used the goodie cave and have winged boots equipped, now would be a good time to take them off.

I already made it to the last room in the castle where the quarter key is, but after I take it an orc instantly comes and take it and kicks me out of the castle... So how am I supposed to get the key? O_o

you need a false quarter key, to replace.

You need the Faux key from the Item Store (of course, still in Orc Kingdom).

Wow, thanks o_O I would have never though of that. I had saved before buying the false key because I thought there was something suspicious about it and it could be useless. And when it turned out it really was useless, I loaded the other save file again cause I thought the false key was just wasted money

I have been trying for a few hours now to get past the guards in the orc castle to get the key.
I can see the one orc who goes downward but as soon as I follow him the other orc at the top seems to spot me.
I was reading to watch their movemements but I cannot see the top and bottom one only the guy who goes down.
I am an older player and do not have the agility that the younger ones do.
I was even going to request someone help me if I sent them a save file but I can't even find the save files. Grrrr!
I hate these sneak levels.
Anyone have any suggestions for a hopeless old girl?

calm down. the trick there is to wait for the guard to turn his back on you then follow them until you could hide. save as much as you can so you won't start all over again.

Jen, I sympathize. I stopped playing another game when it involved QUICKNESS.

However, The Orc castle can be done fairly easily.

First of all, when you get in there and are still hidden; save your game. Then at least you won't get thrown out and have to re-start. That first room is the hardest. First wait until the guard is just turning away and go across and down the first column. Then go across the bottom and I think it is up the middle [not 100% sure about that].. but at least then you'll be able to see where the guards are and can remember in case they see you THIS time.

Once you are out of that room it is really easy just going by when the guards are facing away from you. They don't see you when you are in between.


I saved between EACH bookcase just in case.

After all my ranting I finally went in there and got the darn thing done. And to think I spent all afternoon on the rotten thing and got nowhere.
Just shows what a bit of patience can do.

You need an item to put in the quarter key's place, so the orcs won't realize you've stolen it.

Check the orc shops.
