why won't it let me upload any avatars? i've tried several diff pictures and each one says the errors have returned while uploading. what does that even mean?

on the page where you upload your avatar, it gives the maximum dimensions and there may even be a file size restriction.
However, I can see an avatar for you, so you either got it working, or you're "settling" for one while trying to get your preferred one up.

I still can not use the chat unless I use the code you gave me Brycej, which opens up a entirely new page so I have to go back & forth.

The instant preview in my cottage doesn't work properly!!!
only (SOMETIMES) It displays a message like "the server's not ready, try again later!!!) something like that!!
