I'm not sure if you guys know it, but we have AV3:LOT voice acting expansion pack. I want to know what you think about the voices. Sample here:



My personal opinion:
I think Te'ijal was sort of miscast. She sounded a little bit too young. The voice actors also sounded flat and emotionless. And Gyendal's voice is FRIGGIN HILARIOUS They were going after that thick Romanian accent or whatever that old school vampires usually sports, but it fails and only makes it funny as heck.

The one thing that bothered me was the lack of emotion in most of the roles. And the accents seemed way too thick and forced sometimes. :/

Especially that scene on Naylith summit where Edward was supposed to be angry at Mel, he didn't sound angry at all. Which made me laugh because of the inconsistency with the faceset shown.

I know. In the scene where Te'ijal is tied up to the window, the accent was either missing or too unclear to be heard. And yeah, they did sound forced in the first place. At least Te'ijal's one sounded better. Gyendal's one was so weird it's funny.

Meh....no offense but I didn't like the voice pack at all. Maybe its cuz I like to imagine voices for characters myself. Though I agree with dA....I did watch the preview and it was funny. Again, no offense!

Or the voice expansion packs does not meet our expectations AT ALL The idea of official voice-overs are good, but these actors didn't do a good job on this... Better try next time.

I more expected Te'ijal to have a smoother and more refined voice..without an accent >.> Same goes for Gyendal. As for Mel and Edward, their voices sounded a little bit..unenthusiastic and rushed at times. Stella's seemed okay though.

i really, really wanted to hear yemite's voice playing through TDP. i wasn't sure if any of the others had voice packs tho....

i wasn't overly fond of the voices (te'ijal never had an accent in my head--at least, not one that thick) but i'm still curious to hear them. *shrug*

The guys (walz music, I think?) are working on GON last time I checked. This LOT one makes me feel terrible and down-hearted already, though

I wonder if they ever got the pronounciation for "Te'ijal" right... I mean, that's totally a tricky one and they already got Gyendal wrong. According to Amanda "Gyendal" is pronounced "Guy-yen-dal", not "Gyen-dal".

They pronounced Te'ijal as "Ter-jall".

And the GoN one is completed. But no news of a TLO one at all.

AUGH! They really should've checked with Amanda first...

Still, I agree with Tei about Yemite. I'm pretty certain they'd use the person voicing Mel as Uma and Nox or something, but yeah. Yemite. Wants.

By the way, in GoN they made all the fairies' voices squeaky and having lots and lots of echoey sparkly backgrounds. It's a little weird.

And if there's going to be a TLO voiceover, they might put echoes in Nox's voice too.

That's what i thought they'd do. Like use echo-y or creepy effects for Nox. And probably later Uma too.

There won't be a TLO or TDP voice pack.

aww...little bit of a shame, really. i'd really love to hear yemite.

I suppose I'm glad they didn't do TLO and TDP. The way they ruined Te'ijal and Gyendal made me fear for Yemite's voice.

I personally Yemite would sound like my Zarich, who sounds like this.

Edward sounds.........a bit too posh.

The voice acting was as worse as the first's Resident Evil game,really:
Chris : "It seems we got to the root of the problem."

Not to mention that it sounded like some voices from adult movies,no offense.And Te'ijal's voice sounded so childish!

D-A - Romanian accent?Please,I don't speak like that,that is the sound of a 17 years old guy,which picks up on blondes,and thinks he's cool,and knows English and tried to show it up. *rolls eyes* Sorry for all this,but the voice pack made me hit my head to the desk,really.

In my opinion, I think they should have at least tried to find someone of the characters' age/auditions in the forum at least.

But tell you what guys, finding someone that is perfect for the roles is always a difficult job because you cannot satisfy everybody's expectations.

@Kenneth: I said they are ATTEMPTING to emulate the thick Dracula-esque accent, not that they ARE speaking in a Romanian accent. And they are obviously failing epically Are you Romanian?

@Stardale: I know that you can't make everyone happy, but still. That's why I opened this thread. Maybe someone actually likes 'em. It doesn't make ME happy, that's for sure

Te'ijal really sounded too young to me. Gyendal was decent, but the accent needs to go or be improved because it sounded too fake.
