My boyfriend is absolutely terrified. Sometimes when I think about going into nothing I get scared too. I mean I can't prevent it, but still..

It's something that everyone has to experience when the time comes, so no, I'm not afraid. I guess it helps that I believe that it is not "going into nothing" and also that everyone dies just at the right time after fullfilling why they came to here.

I'm not afraid for death either, I'm even curios about what will happen.
In fact, if the doctor would tell me that I only have a week too live, I'm not sure if I would be to shocked (I can't know of course)
Don't get me wrong, I am happy that I live and prefer to keep it that way, but if i would die, it would be harder for my friends and family then it would be for me.
If a friend would come to me and say to me that they need a heart transplantation, I would offer mine. (Has actually happened once, my friend was joking but I thought she was serious)

Not really. I believe there's no afterlife/life after death.

So there's really no point in being afraid of death when there's nothing at the other end to be afraid of.

i'm definitely afraid of a premature death, that is a death when i am too young and i still have life to live. like, i'm always scared of getting in a car accident and dying on my way home from school, cause i think i am waaaayy to young to die and i have yet to explore the world.

but as for death in general, no i don't think i am afraid. i think i'm actually excited about the prospect of dying, mainly because i don't have any idea what will happen after i die. i always want to find out. and if i'm old and decrepit and have done my living an checked off my bucket list, i feel as if it will be torture just to live.

i guess i'm not afraid as long as i have finished what i need and want to do. plus, who knows? there might be reincarnation.

I'm not afraid of death itself, though I am afraid of death being painful. I believe in an afterlife and reincarnation, so the dieing part itself doesn't worry me.

I also think when it is your time to die, it's your time. No matter where you are, what your doing, if it's your time to go, then there isn't anything that can change that. So I find that easier to accept. (That isn't to say if you get really ill, like cancer, you shouldn't put your all into fighting it. I'm not advocating just giving up.)

I'm not afraid to die in general, but I wouldn't want it to be painful. I'd rather die only after I've done everything that I wanted out of life. I find it easier to put these things out of mind, so that I'm not thinking about it, and I'm making sure that I'm living my life to the fullest.

I'm not afraid to die at all. In fact, I anticipate it. Okay, that sounds really weird. I'm not suicidal or anything. I want to live a long and happy life before I die, but I'll embrace it when it comes. I believe in life after death as well, and I know it's something to look forward to (as long as you aren't a serial killer or something).

I agree with iPink. Except for the pain bit. I'm a big baby when it comes to pain.

I wouldn't want to die because of chocking, drawning, fire, or anything else that is slow and painfull

My words almost exactly echo Ashen. I'm not afraid of being dead. I am afraid of a painful (/terrifying moments before death if say I was trapped by a serial killer lol) death. However I also believe in reincarnation and life after death so the being dead part seems part of the natural cycle to me.

Well... I'm not afraif of death itself. I'm afraid that i'll lose all that's important to me. Friends, Family, Happiness, and other stuffs and thinks that are important to me. I'm Chrtistian, believe in God and the spiritual after life .

Agreed with Ahen and Jayshe....I'm afraid if I will have a painful death...also....I'm not afraid of dying...but I AM afraid of my dear people around me dying...I recently went through two of my dear family members' death in less than 5 months...it was horrible and I still get nightmares about it...

Like some of the others, I'm not really afraid of death itself but more of the possibility of the suffering beforehand ^^;;

Granted, I do believe in an afterlife and I work with the sick and dying all the time, so I see death as something that isn't necessarily negative. It is simply the inevitable and accepting it with grace makes it a bit less scary.

I'm with agas on this one, the only thing that I'm actually afraid of is death itself -_-' Also I don't like to explain why, cause I don't think that I can express my opinion good on this subject. I guess I'm afraid that I'll leave the people I love, or when they die they'll leave me, I'm terrified sometimes with questions like " What's after death?" etc.

I'm not afraid of dying but I am afraid of dying in a painful way or in such an accident or event that my body is never found.

i'm afraid of death. Since i don't know what would i feel when i'm dying, i'm afraid of not able to know. I'm not sure what will happen, so well,.. maybe i'm concerned about it.

i am afraid(maybe) of death....dont know ...its like going away from family and friends and school and everything...but i have always wondered whether life after death as its given in holy scriptures is true.....cant find it out till i die na..so considering that fact maybe death is sort of fun
