hi...well, this was in the collegium, the first few entries, before the crash. so i decided to post again. i will post the first few entries again, because some of you might not have seen it in the collegium, or have forgotten it by now.
_________________________________________________ Day 1 I can’t believe what I heard just a while ago at the Empress’s palace! I really can’t! But I all the evidence points to one thing: my SLAVE GIRL is going to save the world from a demon! Well, I can’t have her take all the credit, and graduate from Shadwood Academy before I do! It would be a horrible disgrace. So I offered to accompany her on her quest. It won’t be all that awful, I hope. The idea of graduating and being credited for helping save the world from Ahriman will get me through. And I can have Rhen wash my clothes. So what if she was ‘freed’? She was bought by my family, and so she is still our slave as long as she hasn’t reimbursed them for what they paid for her. I will continue bossing her around. Rhen and I will leave Veldarah, and start training in the wild, but not until we have slept and bought some food and covey balm. We decided to sleep in her room, she on the bed, and I will sleep on the floor. ( I’m going to roll her off the bed in the middle of the night, and sleep there. In the meantime, she’s clueless of my prank plan. Day 2 Okay, so I did not push through with my prank on Rhen. She just looked so innocent and harmless when I woke up in the middle of the night, I didn’t have the heart to push her off her bed. She’s actually not that bad to be with, and not stupid, contrary to my opinion of her before. We bought bread and covey balm, with the money Rhen got from rats and snakes she killed in the caves nearby. She says that when you search the corpses, you find a few pennies. We will head there later, to train. Rhen also bought us some armor, (that girl has enough dough to cover us both!) so we’re all set. Day 5 Trained in the caves. We have a lot of money, but Rhen needs to train more for agility and I need to train more for strength. We decided to go back and train for a whole week, and sleep somewhere in the wilderness. We are in her room again, and she has taken a bath and slept. She’s rather good-looking, now that I’ve seen her squeaky clean. As a slave, she must have looked ugly because of those rags she wore. But, dear diary, don’t get me wrong. I still dislike her, although not as intensely as before. Day 12 I haven’t written in a while now. I forgot to take a pen with me. But Rhen and I have finally gotten the last skills we can get in Shadwood. We will head for the Northern Isle now, and Talia is going with us, too. Bought more supplies, and a few lightning spells. I think we are ready for the Northern Isle, and Rhen thinks so, too. We will use my backpack to store our supplies and other items in. Mom bought it in Sedona, for five thousand gold pennies. I hope that the bag is durable, so I can tell Mom (after I have helped Rhen save the world) that the bag is worth more than its price.(But since Mom will freak out if she ever found out that I am helping Rhen on her quest, I will not say a word to her about this. She will never understand that I am simply preventing her slave from hogging all the credit.)

![]() _________________________________________________ Day 14 We slept in the boat on the way to the Northern Isle, and will get there in about 3 hours. It is about 5 in the morning now. We will have to sleep in an inn somewhere to regain health. I’m positively starving, because I let the ladies eat the loaf of bread and the two haunches left in the bag. Rhen looked absolutely puzzled, but she should know that I’m acting nice because of Talia. If it were just the two of us I’d just be civil. Talia is nice, she’s been acting like a mother to me, and to Rhen, too. She fussed over us after we killed a few spiders, looking if we had any wounds or anything. She really takes care of us, and never tires of it. She says it’s because she misses her own son. Talia says that Rhen is like the daughter she never had, and is braiding her hair in the boat at this very moment. Right now, Rhen is sobbing, saying that her own mother used to braid her hair too, and how much she cared for her. I doubt that her mother loved her, seeing that she had Rhen sold. Her mother must have loved money more than Rhen. I will investigate Rhen’s family life later, so I can torment her about it. The boatman’s conversations are much more interesting. P.S. Rhen looks ugly when she cries. Forget what I wrote for day 5. Day 15 Yesterday, the boatman told us about the dangerous weather here in the Northern Isle. Apparently the Mountain King and the Snow Queen have had a quarrel over some trivial subject. I think the boatman underestimated the weather. It is twice as bad than how he described it. He just said it was ‘slightly bad’. We are currently in an inn, and I have to sleep on the floor again. Rhen and Talia are going to sleep on the bed. It’s a double bed, so they can fit in it. Sadly, we had to pay 50% more for a double bed. On the bright side, the monsters here give more money than the ones back home. And more experience, too. I asked Rhen about her family while Talia was taking a bath. She started sobbing again. Then she told me that she lived in the Western Isle, then one day, she was captured by a slave trader. I asked why she was captured. She said it wasn’t clear to her, but the slave trader thought that she was a priestess. I will write down our dialogue from that point on. “A priestess like Talia?” I asked. “He thought I was Talia herself. She gave me a ring, her priestess ring, and the slave trader captured me because of it. I can’t quite understand why someone would want to capture her. He put a slave bracelet on me, it was supposed to render all powers I was thought to have as a priestess useless.” “You mean the one that I got off your wrist?” “Well, yes.” “So that means I was the one who is responsible for your discovery as a magic wielder!” “Yes. And for that, I thank you.” Here she lowered her eyes. “And had you not angered me and caused me to strike you with a stick, I would still be in Ghalarah.” She actually thanked me! She isn’t so bad after all. I don’t dislike her anymore. I guess I could be a friend to her. After all, she only has me and Talia to talk to her and everyone else on the Eastern Isle thinks she is a thief, which is entirely my fault. But I can’t apologize for acting badly to her, it is hard for me to get the words to form. I haven’t the courage to do that yet. But I will have the strength to do it someday soon. I know it.

__________________________________________________ Day 16 We are back in the inn at Thornkeep (that is where we slept last time) and decided to stay a night here again. The floor is mine again, but I have no choice, because Talia is still with us. We brought her to the Sun Shrine already, but she told the Oracle that she wanted to stay with Rhen and me for a while longer. The bees in Aveyond are tough, but we are tougher. We took a wrong turn somewhere and saw a harpy. Naturally, we ran. Then we walked into a queer place called Teacup Town. Contrary to its name, it does not look like the resident binis have any mania for teacups. Only the Mayor’s house has any relevance to tea. It is shaped like a teapot. The rest of the houses there are mushrooms. We went around and met a bini who had lost his voice. His brother said that a harpy stole his voice box. It must have been the same one that we had seen earlier. After we get some sleep here, we will go and retrieve his voice box. Rhen fainted from fatigue (it was from battling feral oxen, snow wolves, and bees in one day, not to mention the griffins). She regained consciousness soon, and was strong enough to fight monsters in less than five minutes. In a shop there, they sold smokebombs. We bought one, for no reason at all. It’s supposed to make bees go away I think, but since we can defend ourselves from them already, I don’t know what we’ll be using it for. I think Rhen is going to throw it at the slave trader who captured her if ever they cross paths again. She had a wicked gleam in her eye while paying for it. I can’t strike up a single successful conversation with Rhen since the time I asked about her family. Am I that bad at small talk? I wish I could talk to her. I really want us to be friends. She answers my questions, but nothing more. Maybe she wanted me to know about her family and how she ended up in Ghalarah so that I would not treat her as a slave when Talia leaves. Well, at least I know that she doesn’t hate me, because she smiles at me every now and then. Of course I smile back. Sometimes she even asks if I’m tired or something, if I want to stop and rest or eat. After all I did to her, she has every right to get mad at me. I better stop here. Talia is eyeing my diary with a curious look.

Quote from Day 14:
P.S. Rhen looks ugly when she cries. Forget what I wrote for day 5. I laughed out loud at that. This is really a great story. ^-^ As for Day 16, I'm curious to find out more! I hope you update the story soon.
