I haven't finished the game yet, but the character development in this one has been really great so far. You get the characters to interact more with one another than in previous Aveyond games, and some of these interactions actually affect the ending. Also, I haven't actually seen any of the endings yet, but from a particular word I have heard from other testers, I think the ending(s) should be nothing short of interesting. I'm definitely looking forward to see what happens when I finish the game.

I remember being in total love with AV1 when I first played it, and it's happened again with AV3. I was hooked in from the beginning and it held me all the way until the end. There are many twists and turns - some that I would never have expected (in a good way!) The characters are all awesome in their own ways and their interactions never failed to make me laugh out loud. I thoroughly enjoyed playing AV3 for the first time...

It has many new features...

Two of my favorite new things
1) A way of teleporting back to the ship from anywhere until a certain place in the game
2) various Warp Eggs - teleport to and from various places.

The world is appropriately beautiful in places and somber and dark in others.

The storyline is interesting and involved ... it's hard to stop playing once you start.

The non-linearity of the game made the world feel that much larger. There were several instances where there were many paths open to you, and you didn't know which path to try first.
I think what struck me the most, while playing Aveyond 3, was the atmosphere and feel of the game. I hadn't felt like that since Ahriman's Prophecy. Aveyond 1 and 2 were great, but I didn't get that feeling I got from Ahriman's Prophecy...until now.

Amanda has done an amazing job creating Aveyond 3. The game has you hooked from the beginning and continues to hold your attention throughout the game. The game allows you to explore more and doesn't just guide you to the next direction. I really like that there is no particular order in which the tasks need to be done. there were many times I walked into a place and quickly realized that maybe I should work on another task or level up a bit, but I liked that the game still allowed access there to explore and see the different areas.

I can't put down Aveyond 3 once I started with it. It instantly transports me to a world of fantasy and magic... where things impossible can be turned possible.

I was really caught off guard, initially, when it shows us that magic can be used to heal as simply as with just a swing of a hand!

I knew it would be great and I knew that I'd love it... but I had the privilege of writing the newsletter for a little while and being able to edit the cutscenes and read the script and design document... so I knew, going into beta, the major twists I'd encounter, so I wasn't sure that it'd be quite as exciting as the other two were the first time I played them... but I have to say- I think it's even more. I'm getting caught up in the marvelous graphics, witty banter, and the riveting story.I haven't finished but I can definitely wait! I'm tempted to level till I can't anymore before finishing.

Mel was one unique character - she wasn't just perfect - she was a commoner, a street urchin, rude at times, and was a wonderfully fleshed-out character with a great amount of character development. It was nice to see how each and every person views their own world.
