Amanda did not do this, Aaron did (which is why the blog post was made by Aaron).

All the voices are done by Aaron and his voice actors. Amanda and Bryce do not feature

their voises are terrible! they sound like beginners trying to make a movie! and I do not like it! Eddies voise sounds like he has a cold... Mels sounds like a newage teenager... Stella doesn't sound like the sweet person she is... and Lydias is perfect... the moo people sound like there people with out an accent trying to do one .... but its a neet idea...

Sadly, I completely have the same opinion on all the voices. The only good voice I found was Lydias.

No worries, the VA pack is completely optional. You don't *have* to get it.

I agree. I hated Edward's voice. No emotion whatsoever! Stella needs to be way more kind and gentle, Lydia, a bit more snobbier, and hey! I didn't even see the whole Black Oak Staff thing in the game!







Mel's voice was perfect though...

So im going to have to say that Mel sounded like a valley girl, Stella sounded too deep and slightly manly (no offense to whomever that voice belongs to), Professor Moo wasn't as bad as the rest but u get the gist. I think Mel should have come across as slightly petulant and sarcastic when she speaks. It seems to fit the character better. As for Stella, it should have been someone a bit more soft-spoken. I say the idea is great but the voice choices could use a little work. I would love to see this in Aveyond 1&2.

Yes Ed's could have been abit younger because he's like 17, 18, 19,... Mel's needed to be more younger and sarcastic, lydia's like most said a bit snobier, Stella abit younger because she seeems to be about 16-19 and sweeter. Also in the one were the girls eating who is she?

well, it's always the same with almost everything... you make up you mind about how it would sound and then you're disapointed because it's not how it is in your mind...
it's a bit the same with movies coming from books... I've almost always been disapointed when I saw a movie after having read the book... either on the voices, or on the actors or even on the way it's done, missing some details which seem to be very important to me... so...
anyway, it's good to have voices, which change things a lot, and as already told, we have not to apply this pack, it's just up to us to choose to do so or not
and once more, they are VERY understandable, which is really nice for non english mother speaking langage people like me

Stella's actually twenty. She's the oldest non-vamp PC.

It won't be released on the 20th. Not sure who told you that, but beta isn't quite finished yet. Amanda said "next week" which goes from 20th to 26th. I'd say it'll be closer to the end of the week

Hey everyone - thanks for all your great comments and feedback! We realize that at first it is rather shocking to hear a certain voice when you might be imagining another (just like watching a movie made from a book), but just be patient and the voices may just grow on you!

I asssure you all choices were made carefully with the characters in mind. I have been involved with Aveyond since the beginning and written every score.

That being said, the voices won't be for everyone and that's OK. It's an experiment, and we are quite proud of this massive accomplishment. Really I can not explain all that goes into doing something like this.

The great news is... we are putting together a free DEMO with the release that will contain voices up to a certain point, then it can be purchased to get the rest. So it's risk free if you'd like to try it. I'll update you soon with a few new videos (including Te'ijal and Galahad) and the release and purchase information.

I can not stand Professor Moo's voice. All the other voices are great, though.

Wow. I guess I imagined them sounding different, too. They sound very modern, with some sounding Country or French. I always thought they had a hint of Old English accent in their dialect but unique to the Aveyond world...

Anyway, I took these new voices as being funny than serious, especially after hearing Professor Moo. Imho, I think he sounds like Bill Cosby.

I'm still getting used to it, too. Overall, I can tell you guys had a lot of fun putting this together for us. Thanks.
