Aveyond: The Lost Orb dev begins!

Yup, it's that time again. I have my pen and paper and I'm writing up the plot for the next game in the Orbs of Magic series.

I have decided not to send Mel to the Arishta Isles in this book, but she will be going there in book 4. Instead, Mel is going to begin the exploration of a new continent in search of... do I even have to say it? *grins*

Te'ijal and Galahad won't be in this chapter as lead characters (Te'ijal runs off to hide since she's not so keen about being human), but one or both of them will be back as strong leads in book 4. Mel will be hearing from Te'ijal a lot in this book, but from afar.

There is a shocker at the end of this book, and it will change Mel's life forever and pull her toward a prophecy she has no intention to fulfill. I wonder who will win? Fate or Mel?

Oh well, I guess I can wait. But I was hoping we may go back to Vedlt or Thornkeep or Veledrah... And... Te'ijal and Galahad won't be in it, after all? Oh well, I must admit I wasn't looking forward to them coming back again as much after they turned human. But it's cool that Mel will still hear from Te'ijal. @ Aisling- Actually, one time, when I was in the manor in Sedona, Galahad was chasing Te'ijal. Don't ask me how that happened.

The fact that Book 3 and Book 4 take place on totally different continents makes me think that both these games will be GoN size. Hmm... but I was thinking; human-colored skin doesn't go with Te'ijal's complexion. Mabey riddish-brown, wavy hair and dark eyes will suit her? Mabey a soft, olive green color for her eyes. Something more human.

I don't think we'll see Mel using a Drain skill or avoiding daylight anytime soon And new prophecy? Perhaps, perhaps not. Recall that even though Mel stopped Gyendal in his tracks, the Darkthrop prophecy is still out there, hanging over her head. And in the opening scene of LoT, Mordred did say the prophecy would be fulfilled by one descendant or another ...

Some characters will leave the party, and others will join. There's no guarantee that there'll always be a certain number though. Adding characters just for the sake of making up numbers doesn't really make sense.

But even though Amanda has just started (but has an ending already), it seems like I have been having thoughts about what the plot would be. My imagination really loves to work. Well, all I can say is that I hope this would be worth more than the past Aveyond series.

In Rhen's Quest, the Mainland was a little island that did not seem all that far off from the Arishta Isles. Obviously, the island is larger now, as at the time the rest of the land could have sunk or something, but it still should not be all that far off. The only thing I don't understand is how the land around Thais changes so much. In AP, it is like it is AV3, but in AV2, everything is changed... Confusing. But what I'm trying to say is, I thought the Mainland and the Arishta Isles were pretty near to each other.

But Edward, is he gonna marry that orc?? whats her name?? Bell?? i hope whats mel's next quest?? Is she gonna continue her training with prof. Gray, How about Stella is she going back to naylith, or coming with mel?? and Lydia what's happened to her when mels not around... there's too many questions about aveyond LoT and GoN...

Now at first the ideea of a Vampire not needing to feed may seem out of place, but let's look at the facts shall we... In the first of Aveyond series, we witness the beginning of his drama as Te'ijal steals his soul using a pendant, then tricks him into marrying her, only to have him transformed into one of the Damned (...smooth move ) And here is where the plot thickens, filled with holier-than-thou Rage, he proclames he wil never become like her and drink from the blood of an innocent (so he spends the next 300 years slaying Monsters instead XD ) Question is... how Did he pull it off then? We all know that Vampires, as Undead creatures, need the blood of the Living in order to continue their existance, less they fall dormant and eventually decay ...nasty buisness And here is where Fate intervines with one of her Ironic twists, for what saved Galahad was something which he strongly denied even existed... Magic. Specifically one of it's many intricate and obscure laws, which states that someone may not be considered Dead, until his or her soul has departed. Well, we already know who has Galahad's soul Now... But how does that answer his incredibly Valiant self-restraint ? For that we must understand WHY Vampires must feed... You see, Vampires beeing Undead are not only Heartless, but also Soul-less, and thus having no Soul of their own which to provide their bodies with Essence, they must steal it from someone who does, and in doing so, should they kill their victim, he/she would then in turn become eternally Damned... I know... It Sucks But then what of Gladamere who gambled away his soul, well the really interesting part is that Souls die too... that's right, you heard me. Except, when a Soul dies, it automatically detaches itself from it's vessel and goes into the next world to be Clensed (don't ask me how That goes) But as is the case with the Curse of vampirism, the soul becomes earth-bound to it's now former vessel, and is now incapable of providing it with spiritual nourishment. And so Galahad's predicament is revealed, as he is stuck in a sort of Limbo, not really Dead, but not exactly Living, with his soul detached from his body, the curse never got to actually Kill him, but it did however manage to perserve his body intact for 300+ years (pretty Sweet deal if you ask me ) Prove it! you say... Well, remember how the Soul-Pendant gave Teíjal extra strenght? ...that's right. Anyway my question, if you ever get around to reading all of this, is what will happen now? Will Gallahad and Teíjal... : a. Try and have a Normal relationship, get married, have kids, ...the whole nine yards b. Galahad try and take his soul back by force and kill Teíjal? ...on second thought that would be too sad c. Teíjal rebecome a vampire and turn Galahad over for good ...scarry And if so will I, the Player, be able to make those choices (tha'd be sweet) Eternal Regards, Neferius.

I have played aveyond 3 and have all diff endings with him marrying stella, mel,and lydia. I hope on the lost orb it reflects this. if it does not I have to admit I will be a little disappointed. STILL WAITING !! BY THE WAY THANKS FOR MAKING THE GAME A SUCESS
