Still in Veldarah, we are talking with Stella, who is waiting impatiently for Edward to change out of his student uniform and into his battle gear.

Interview with Stella

Stella, it's very nice to see you again. Something tells me this isn't a social visit.
No, I'm in quite a rush. As soon as Edward is ready, we'll be off to search for Mel.

Oh? So Mel is missing?
Not missing. She's gone to Underfall ... with Gyendal!

I see why you're in a hurry. Maybe Mel will be able to fight him off until you arrive to help.
No, she's not fighting him at all. She said she would submit to her destiny! I couldn't talk her out of it, so I ran. I ran to find Edward, and now we have to save her!

You and Edward?
We will find Galahad and Te'ijal first - I know they will help us. Then we will find Mel.

But you don't like violence. Aren't you afraid of what Gyendal will do to you? What he's already done?
Stella's eyes narrow and her face sets firmly.
Gyendal has hurt me and my friends too much. He will do it no more!

Wow, that's very determined - I've rarely seen you like this.
This has to end.

And afterwards? Will you go back to Moo Hatchery?
No, Professor Moo doesn't need me anymore, now that Willette's back.

Willette's back? What happened? Everyone was concerned about her disappearance.
Oh, that was just a big misunderstanding. Willette won the Mainland Federation of Farmhands Inaugural Farmhand-of-the-Year prize, and was given a vacation to Tar Vedron. She left a note for Professor Moo, but the goat ate it!

Well, that's a relief ...

Edward appears in the atrium, attired for battle.

Edward: Stella, I'm ready. Let's go.

Stella: Would you excuse me? I'm sure you understand, time is of the utmost importance.

Of course. I wish you both luck.

Stella and Edward quickly depart, leaving me alone within the walls of the famous Shadwood Academy. I decide to take a look around ... maybe I can find something good to read about prior Shadwood heroes ...

Maybe my theory of two different parties was correct. so that would be Edward-Stella-Te'ijal-Galahad and Mel-Uma-Nox-?. Of course, I'm still probably wrong, but that would be a twist. Right now I'm just too excited by the idea that Stella is coming back to the party (or maybe A party 0.0) next game.

It doesn't say that she was "taken by Gyendal". It says she *WENT WITH HIM*. She WOULD SUBMIT TO HER DESTINY! WAT. WAT. WAT. WAT. I don't care Mel would most likely end up changing her mind or, if she were brainwashed, break out of the spell or if that was a fake Mel who said that to Stella. THAT ONE BRIEF MOMENT IS ENOUGH TO MAKE ME A VERY VERY VERY VERY HAPPY FANGIRL!!!!!!! Edit: Okay, on a more serious note... As Asiling said below, something's not right with the timeline. Plus, in Mel's interview, she doesn't seem to be very happy about Gyendal. It's either Mel was hypnotized or the Mel that talked to Stella was a fake. Methinks the fake Mel is Nox in disguise.

Amaranthian Joined: 2008/1/29 From: Gold: 14213	Re: Interview with Stella Hmm... is it just me or is it suspicious how the "fight" happened, Mel mumbled something about TDP, go to bed, somehow flew back to the Mainland (I can't imagine the telephone is in existence, and it can't be a letter, since it takes time to deliver AND Stella said she "tried to talk her out of it", which suggests a reply, which takes even more time), told Stella she's going to Underfall, fly back to Eldrion, go through Ashera's Tomb, reached Underfall, and promptly told shaz it had nothing to do with TDP? Meanwhile, Stella reached the School in Veldarah not 24 hours after the "fight" and recruits Edward to save Mel after said "best friend convo"? I'm not buying it. I smell a trap. Someone must be impersonating Mel here, trying to lure the whole gang into a fight. nod nod After all, it's not the first time Stella got hoodwinked.

Something funny is going on here. Plus, the fight totally had nothing to do with TDP. After the fight, Mel said something about TDP then went missing

I think it's quite likely a trap, but if Mel does turn out to want to follow her destiny, I don't really have a problem with it. In fact, I'd love it. But when you think about the timeline, there's kind of a problem.

Now the question is: what was Stella doing at Veldarah in the first place? And why did Mel do that aboutface when faced with shaz's question (she mumbled something about TDP at School, then flat out scoffed it off when shaz asked her)? Something still smells fishy here, but at least shapeshifting began and ended with Lydia... I think.

We still don't know what the main "quest" is yet, and we have NO idea what is going on with Mel. We are getting lots of bits and pieces, but ten pieces can't make a fifty piece puzzle, and won't even tell you what the puzzle is.

I mean, who would have expected that Mel would suddenly decide she was going to "accept her destiny"??? Still, I do agree that someone somewhere is impersonating Mel. But the question is, who? It could be Lydia. Wouldn't be the first time for that and she's also been in league with Gyendal before. The Nox idea works too... Looking forward to the next interview. I wonder who it'll be... Then Edward, Stella, Te'ijal, and Galahad in the other party. That way it's even parties. Besides, Mel is the one known for picking up extra members; I don't think Edward ever invited anyone, he just let Ulf go.

It's gotta be either Lydia, which is probably unlikely after she figured out that Gyendal wanted Mel ALIVE not DEAD, or Nox, which is the more probable option. Nox looks so much like Mel it's not even funny, and I'm still trying to figure out who exactly she is, but I know one thing: at the end of TLO, Mel IS given the chance to keep the orb and use it for her own gain cough cough LYDIA cough cough Nox set her up to that, but Mel refused. And Aisling has a point: this all seems way too fishy. Darn it, now I really really REALLY wanna get the game now. Thank you Shaz and your teasing plot-twists!

She'd be better than anyone else. And Gyendal could have convinced her of this though.Besides, there is no way Gyendal can be a vamp again so helping Mel is his best bet
