Aveyond 1 Beta 2.1 Available!
What is this? Aveyond 1: Rhen's Quest beta? Yep, you guessed right! I turned over Aveyond 1 to Shaz about a month ago, and she has been working like crazy to fix old bugs and add features that are available in Aveyond 2. Sneak Peak II

The game has dozens of drinks that you can learn. You will also be able to make your own recipes and share them with your friends. I've finished all of the core functionality. Next week, I'll be cleaning things up and alpha testing. Beta should begin around May 15. I'll have more news about the beta soon.

Dragon Lords' Renaissance Fair - THIS WEEK!
screen.width-540)this.width=540" border='0' alt='' />We extend an invitation to all the citizens of Amaranthia, to join us in a festival celebrating the role dragons have played in human affairs throughout history.The Dragon Lords' Renaissance Fair will be held in The Fairgrounds from Monday, April 28 to Sunday, May 4.This period will be filled with games, contests, prizes and festivities, and all who participate will take home something in memory of the event.Over the next few days a number of contests will be posted, giving you time to prepare your entries prior to the event. Tutorial done! And other news... :)
I spent the last week working on the in-game tutorial for Yummy Drink Factory (YDF). I hate programming these sorts of things, but I learned after I finished Grimm's Hatchery that tutorials are absolutely necessary for games with new types of game play. As many of you have guessed, it is a *little* like Diner Dash, but the game is definitely not a clone. I think you will agree after you play it that it brings a new twist to an old idea. And as usual, there is a bit of wicked humor concerning our dear protagonist. Poor thing! I'm nervously checking the game portal sites each week to see if someone is going to use the formula that I'm using for YDF, but luckily, no one has hit upon it yet. There have been tons of cooking games coming out and each time I see a new review for one of them on Gamezebo, I hold my breath. Luckily no one is using my formula, so there is still hope that YDF will be unique when it is released in June.In other news, I've closed the General Store and it can only be...

Well, I suppose I can at least tell you the name of the game. It's called Yummy Drink Factory. Nooo!
Well, it finally happened this year... I got the cold! I tried so hard to not get sick... running out of rooms where sick people were sneezing, not eating foods prepared by sick people at lunch, but it didn't work. I started sneezing this morning. On a positive note, I spent the day in bed with the cats and my laptop by my side. I usually don't like fixing bugs, but the sickness has gone to my head and I've had a pretty enjoyable day taking it easy and cleaning up my code. I still have one cute little bug to fix today and then I am done! Has anyone ever been to an animae festival? I've decided to venture forth to the one in Seattle this weekend with Bryce. We'll probably be the oldest people there, but I really want to see this one. I'll post pictures!
