For ages +16 and up due to strong language.

Tragedies bring heartache and fatigue. None know this better than Random, a young swordsman, and Sarah, his adored Elven girlfriend. They witnessed destruction, pain and the terrifying wrath of Demons. They fought heroically and, finally victorious, they retreated.

Now they are living far from civilization, filling their days with peace and love....but memories do not disappear.

One morning Sarah suggests a journey back to the places of the past, to return to where they once knew and to see how the world has fared in their absence. Little do they know how their timing ties to the plans of an evil force, a foe of the past growing stronger and reaching ever closer to his twisted goal.

A shift is once again about to occur, dangers are arising with hostility and fear taking hold of minds and hearts across the land. How will the adventurers react to the loss of their peace and the renewed fight that lies ahead.

For the type of game it is, it was much too long. but i felt that the creator made a great effort to make fun.

3 Stars was released after but the story is set earlier in time, so you might want to pick that one first if you want to play them in order so to speak.

There are also three freeware games named Laxius Power 1, 2 and 3 whose story is in between 3 Stars and Laxius Force!
You can get those from the developers forum at www.laxiusforce.org

All the games are not only set in the same world they also have the same characters in them.

So if you want to follow the whole story, then you would have to play: 3 Stars, then the Laxius Power games (which are freeware but have a slight lower quality - like Ahriman's Prophecy) and finally the Laxius Force series.

Of course they are all designed for you to be able to play them independently too, so if you want to skip one or some of them just go ahead and start with the one you feel most interested in! You can always go back and play the others if the one you start with spikes your interest!

Laxius Power, Laxius Force and 3 Stars of Destiny are all in the same world. The difference is that in some games you explore some places that you don't explore in other games.

 Re: Laxius Force
The Laxius Force series are my favourite of Aldorlea Games, I never saw someone using standard rpg maker XP resources so well. All maps are very well done and lot of other things.

Story: The story is the most strong point of Laxius Force, I mean, it really features what can happen in the real life, like deaths and everything else. And it's really exciting, Random and his friends are after the Grand Commandenter in order to kill him and end with the threats of the Order. The Grand Commandenter are hard to find and he always breaks the hope of the heroes. But they always keep going in order to avenge those whou coudn't continue in the battle against the order.

Graphics: The majority of the maps are done with standard rpg maker xp tilesets, but they are very well done, it looks like the enviorment of the place can be felt, in nature places there's butterflies and water sounds with musics that fits with each and every place.

Music: Musics are also from rpg maker xp, only a few are original. But the places that the musics were placed were so perfect that you can't complain about anything.

Gameplay: Ah, the better. Gameplay is just awesome. There's a easy-to-understand questbook and it's very detailed, also you can change of party members in every place of the game which makes real fun. Ah, and I forgot to tell that this game has a loooooot of charaters. xD

To end with, Laxius Force is one of the best games out there. It's really worth the money and games big like this you won't find elsewhere.

 Re: Laxius Force
I've been revisiting these games lately. The game is somewhat sexist in its representations of women. It's Random and his harem of girls who wear decidedly revealing clothes and behave in a manner befitting women of dubious reputation and they are all in love with Random. I suppose this kind of thing could be something schoolboys with vivid imagination might be crazy about. God knows why the girls love Random (don't really like the name either)- he is so daft at times, especially with this casterpillar harem of his. Hate harems, that's why I have a very strong opinion. On the flip side- the games elicits some strong reactions from a player like me, which should suggest to the gamemakers that it's actually good. Other than that, it's quite lively and good sidequests. Secrets to find- that is fun. Language improves from release to release.

All in all pretty good game and you forgive a lot, especially the sexist, chauvinistic elements,

All things considered, however, Millennium is a far better offering, not sexist any more or at least I haven't noticed, and in good language.

In conclusion, Aldorlea is worth the time, particulary since they are putting efforts to improve.

 Re: Laxius Force
Someone may have asked this already, but I just started playing and I found a character named Rhen who is getting ready to go on a quest. Is this a nod or something to the Aveyond game Rhen's quest? The character in game looks similar is why I asked.
