It loooks AMAZING so far!!!!! I need 20$ (or however much it costs) PRONTO. Can't wait to buy it!

Aw... the music has been really disapointing so far. I mean, music doesn't make the game, but shouldn't there be some eerie background music for the scenes with Nox, or at least some weddingish music at the wedding? It feels strangely empty without it.

Aside from that, I've been enjoying Lydia's wickedness... I mean, the game. Though, I'm feel sorry for Mel. Poor thing.

This game was great. I loved how you could totally get lost in a silly plotline (ex: pie), when you have a serious quest to do. XD

The music was great, as always.

Yvette was awesome, and the addition of Nox was cool. Spook was also an interesting character. However, June's height bugged me a bit. She's fourteen, shouldn't she seem a bit taller then the little kid graphic?

It was totally awesome & great the first few hours of playing it, but when the Quicksilver wears off, the game freezes up

There are a few people who've already finished the game since it was released, and we had at least 24 involved with testing. It's possible there IS a bit of a fanboy/fangirl element, but it's possible those 9 votes (now 14) actually did complete the game.

I loved the game, brought back so many memories of the first Aveyonds. I found it a little shorter than the other installments. This is the game for you, if you played any of Aveyond games.I can't wait for the next installment and possibly the last chapter of Aveyond 3.

Great game!!! It would've been fantastic if it was a bit longer, but other than that it was great! I wasn't expecting the ending at all, what a shock.... Talk about exciting!

I fell in love with the game from the moment that I started playing it! Actually, I love it so much that I can't stop talking about it! I would highly recomend this game, but you might want to play Gates of Night before this one. I couldn't believe the ending! Mel is in for a lot of suprises!

It seems pretty good so far except that the music wont play but the sound effects will. I went to the options menu and it says that the music SHOULD be playing. I dont know why it would do that but does anyone have any suggestions??

I've spent 3 days playing the game and I managed to end without using any strategy guide. Generally it was quite a exciting game, with a wonderful plot in it. But...it's way TOO short!!!I thought there should have been quite a long way and I was expecting to see Te'ijal again! (She is my fav. character!) Can't wait to see the 4th one!

I'm having issues with the quicksilver wearing off and my game freezing. More like it keeps telling me that the quicksilver has worn off. Other then that I like the game.

Just started, and I'm already in love with this game. Awe inspiring imaginaton involved here. I'm in the sewers now, fighting monsters (I won't say what kind, but they remind me of a bad trip to Mexico.)

I Just finished the game! it was amazing! i make all the quest's except one of the golden frog but it was a mistake i did in the GON!
Well i must say this game wasn't short like some others said! i find it Brilliant!!

I was expecting something better. I m very dissapointed. The game was very short and the quest were boring(go there and get this after that return here and go there again, GOD i hate that, I even yawn more than one time!
Even doing all the quest the game only lasted 4 HOURS!!! Lots of people said than hero's tale was a bad game because it lasted 6:30 hours, now the same people say than this game is good only because its made by Amanda! I hate buttkissers.

I'm playing without using the save file from GoN ( because it won't appear on TLO....Someone help meh wif this! ) ....Glad that it's Mel & not the orc princess,though.... Errr...The game rocks! >.<

Loved this game and the others in the series. I was addicted to it and could hardly do anything else until I finished it. I loved the spin it took at the beginning and the end. I can't wait for the next one!!!!

i love the games, all of them. i think i have plaied Rhens quest 5 times and Eans quest about 3 times.
i was extremely happy with the whole idea of the new series, the book, and always cant wait for the newest. Lord of twilight was great, gates of night even better but i'm not sure about the lost orb. i read in the comments "...i am an expert...". i dont know if this is the reason i found the game short and i always had the feeling that i am not playing a new game. nothing did really suprise me, because i dont look after the end but the whole way of the game. well, i dont think i feel dissapointed, maybe sad. sad because i finished the game in 3 days, while i was waiting for it for months. and now? waiting again! i wont say a lot bout what i like and dislike in the game, because everyone has his own favorites, so its complicated. the only think i will say is that i hate the fact that in these series there isnt really a character using magic. Lydia and Yvette for a very short time. i love attaching with magic! now in lord of twilight, gates of night and the lost orb i am using the weapons9which i believe is boring) i didnt use goodies, i wasnt really happy with the skills when level is upand of course i dont know why, there was no use continuig the saved game from gates of night in the lost orb-i had no equipment, so what for?
I dont know why i m being critical! its just a game that i love! and i will play them again of course!well... i just expect more, because i know that the game designers can give more...! thanks for reading

Overall this is a great game. I stumbled upon the ending a bit before I would have liked, still had a few places to explore, but I saved beforehand so I can go finish up The ending twist is fun, I expected part of it but the other completely caught me off guard. It is a bit short if you do not explore everything, but for $10 I think it is still a great deal. I look forward to replaying and making different options to see what happens

I have been playing Asguaard while waiting for The Lost Orb to come out. I downloaded the trial version the day it came out. The one thing I noticed is how agonizingly slow the fight sequences are after playing Asguaard. They just seem to take forever. Other than that, it's a good series of games and definitely have replayability (is that a word?).

And Spook? Knew he was bad, didn't think he could be Gylendal but thought through out the game, where is he? Actually thought that Spook was the baby from the beginning with the Familiar and the darklings, like he was the true decendant of Darkthrop.

I'm kinda disappointed how this game ended. I didn't think that it went on as long as the others I have played. I don't think it is worth paying more than the $6.99 that I paid for it. Storyline and graphics were great, but length was very disappointing.

Do I really had to pay for this game? I always wanted tis game but I have to pay I dont have a credit card wat should i do?

It was ok I guess, a bit boring as there was nothing that made you think about where to go or what to do next. No where near as good as AP or Aveyond I or II.

Loved the game, although i felt it was too short.

Another thing i miss in AV3 series is powerful magicians/spellcasters. Like Lars, Nicholas (way more powerful than lydia) and even Rhen. Hope the next installment remedies that, maybe Mel gets killer powers nw that she realizes she has magic )

TLO is not that short as some players claim it to be. Considering that TLO is just a chapter of The Orbs of Magic Series, the length of time to complete the game is just right. I finished the game in a little over 11 hours over a 3-day period. I even used the weapon and armor goodie caves. The goodie caves notwithstanding, I even had Mel equip Ashera's Sandals to have her walk faster.

On another subject, I like TLO very much. Eldrion is just great. The new cities are more explorable than the cities on the mainland. I imagine that TLO is my favorite among the first three chapters of the Orbs of Magic Series.

I wonder what's the purpose of Spook's attraction points? I think it's just to put us off guard from his true motives and identity. Spook's characterization is just clever..

Lastly, the last scene can be considered as an overview of The Darkthrop Prophecy. It's so good to see the reference to the magic school in Veldarah. I assume it's Rhen's old school, Shadwood?

I have good news and bad news.The good news is you can now play this game for free on shockwave if your a member, and if you downloaded this game from a different site before you can continue from where you left off on it.The bad news is if you do this you have to download it everytime you want to play it.

the aveyond is a fantastic game and i think that everyone loves it because everyone loves fantasy games.it is the top game.but my favorite aveyond is aveyond 2.

I've played this game over again since I posted the other comment on this. During the second time, I realized that it was a bit short and not much extra stuff. I mean, I'm not trying to tell you that it's a bad game or anything, just a bit short. If you like longer, more complex RPGs, this isn't one that you would love. But I would suggest getting it if you've played GoN.

Meh, *looks around* I actually think I am the only person on the site who thinks the Aveyond series is a bit of disapointment. The music, the plot, the dialogue, the battles, the equipment, the graphics were all disappointing, in my opinion.

ahh!! finished the game and it feels great lol. its another amazing one coming from Amaranth Games, though i thought that Mel will have a new leading man but oh well.. lol

I must say that I LOVE the plots to this series of games. I have played all of them all the way through and I'm never disappointed. Characters have great personalities and the mission they are on is always great.

The series just keeps on getting better and better.
Aveyond is an RPG game that is different from most RPG's because of it's unique gameplay and quests. The side-quests are one of the quests that show you the character of your players
Music- I would gave Aveyond Series a 9 at the very least. One of the few RPG's you can play without muting.
Art Work- Amazing. The game creater really outdoes herself with the graphics.

Seriously, I was thinking to buy Aveyond games, but after I see some comments like ''Boring quests'' and ''4 hours game'', that is not a good playtime for a commercial game. I played the trial of Lord of Twilight and it was not good at all. Mapping is not good, music wasn't so good, and story is not exciting at all, it was kind of boring. Anyway, of course, sorry if this may look rude but that's is just my opinion.

I absolutely love this game series, and can not wait for the next one this month!! Just saying, but does anyone think that Nox looks a bit like Mel? My thinking is that that would be what Mel would be like if she fulfilled the prophecy. And maybe her name is Nox in another language? Anyways, great game! Hope next one will be just as good if not better!

I have problems with the Quicksilver, too. When it wears off, it keeps telling me and I can't play because of it! It doesn't freeze, it just keeps telling me...

It's a game divided in chapters, but I guess the real problem is it being shorter than halfway through Av1/2 and that you have to pay half of the price of the mentioned. :/

This one was definitely my favorite one in the Lost Orb series, it was short though cuz I finished it in 2 days, but I loved traveling to the new places that you wouldn't see in Lord of Twilight and Gates of Night. I also loved the new characters and the mystery of Spook. Great game I'd give it more than 5 stars!
