 Re: RPG Maker VXHey, this is by far the easiest RPG maker to use. The tilesets are limited though, but its a lot more organized. And no layers to learn!!!

 Re: RPG Maker VXI really like to use RMVX because it's easier. No layers! I also like the sprites.
There is a sprite gen, because there are very few sprites. Try the famitsu sprite gen, it's in japanese, though. I'm making a game with this, and it's lots of fun to use! 4 1/2 out of 5 star rating. ****.5!!! |

Re: RPG Maker VX hate to be johnny raincloud over here, but i don't honestly see why the banner says "make games like aveyond" when aveyond was made with RMXP XD
personally i find XP a lot easier to use, with a lot more freedom and a cleaner-looking style of graphics. but that's just me personally. i hear that this is easier if you've never done this before, and my VX-using friends demand to know how i can get anything done using XP. ...plus, rmxp costs a LOT less these days XD |

Re: RPG Maker VX I actually didn't find it that much easier than XP. And I really missed the layers. I found it so difficult to even map an indoor poor house
 I hated it too that whenever I saw Actor17 I thought he was Harvey (or Duncan), so that I couldn't use him. The same happened with Actor9, because it reminded me of Amanda. Plus point is the quick event creation. Especially quickeventing doors were much appreciated. (And of course the faceset option.) Other than that I like XP much better. |

Re: RPG Maker VX VX has it's pros, but I will always prefer XP. I like the graphics better, the tilesets better, and the flexibility of XP.
VX is pretty cool, but I love XP! |

 Re: RPG Maker VXIve tried both Rpg maker xp and Rpg maker vx and love them both very much but although rpg maker vx has it avantages I find it very frustrating without rounded tiles and with the amount of limited tiles and also the mini characters. So Im going to have to say I like rpg maker xp better.

Re: RPG Maker VX i made a complete game with it. in about few days the game i made with thius simple game maker should but not 100% garanty will be posted. it should be really great. also i combined some animations from xp to get some really nice ones. same with sound. lets say this is my FIRST game to ever be released. i say i like the this game maker a lot. its grapics don't puncture my head with hidious graphics. lets say they are tidier than the rpg makes before xp.
