I love this game- like I do with every Aveyond game.

However, this was the first game (and only game) I felt sad about when the next game came around- all the characters died over time...

The characters had so much more personality then in the first game. I also loved Emma and Rye, of course. XD

Also, I must mention THE INTRODUCTION MUSIC WAS AWESOME!!!

I loved it, too. I like the music, humor, and cutness!

The 3rd game I played on the series. Aveyond 2's description really aroused my attention. I just love the tilesets... although I want to get them but I don't know how. I love the characters, the story synopsis and the entire game. Overworld music? I don't like so much. I loved the overworld bgm of aveyond 1 and ahrimans prop. But this is a nice game. Worth downloading.

This was the cutest game in the aveyond series i love how some of the characters had perfect matches like Ean and Iya, Rye and Emma. This one was mostly based on fairytales Aveyond 1 and 2 were the best out of all im not really a big fan of Mel's stories but i'm starting to like em

The first of the game serie that I bought.
I played aveyond 1 until the demo ended but it never gave me any feeling of needing to play it fully.

This on the other hand...
After the demo ended I almost panicked XD
Since I didin't had any credit card or paypal at that time.
So I ran to my uncle the same day asking him to help me buy it

I think that either this one or the first one is my favorite. I like Mel’s stories, but after four games I'm kind of getting tired of them. I'm thinking they should come up with a whole new extension of the Aveyond series, with new characters and a new quest.

Aveyond 2 is my favourite game of the Aveyond series. I know most people prefer Aveyond: Rhen's Quest or the Orbs of Magic series, but I prefer this more light hearted, fairytale inspired game.

Story: It's a typical RPG story (gotta save the world!) dressed up in a fairytale coat. (I honestly have no idea if you understand me with that... I think that's just a Dutch proverb translated ) There's not much to say about it. I love of course that fairytale coat (), which in my opinion makes the game more outstanding than the others in the series. The game also provides a nice background for the Oracle, Heptitus and Ishtar (all characters from Aveyond 1 and some even from Ahriman's Prophecy). I would have like it even more, if the generic RPG story bits had been removed to an even more fairytale themed story, but of course that's just me. I'm sure lots of others would have liked it the other way around: more RPG, less fairytale.
I loved the characters. Nicholas is my favourite, followed by Ishtar, Iya, Ean (cause he's got such a cute sprite) and the Wicked Witch (no, not Heptitus, but the one who lives in the Fairytale Forest).
(Oh and they friggin' had a fairytale village! With Rapunzel and a Prince Charming who was enchanted )

Graphics: Sprites were awesome. The two mains and some others as well (Rye and Emma) had more than one outfit in the game, which is an instant like for me.
Facesets were done with face maker, which is a bit of a letdown, considering this is a commercial game and not a freeware one. Title screen was superb, I sometimes can't help but keep looking at it. It truly makes me wonder why Amaranth Games didn't ask the title screen artist for faces...
I love the Aveyond 2 tilesets, they are a huge improvement from the ones of Aveyond 1. They are great sets for light hearted, cute, fantasy, fairytale like games. And the fact you are allowed to use it in games (credit given of course), makes me love Amaranth Games even more.

Music: I liked the music, I listened to it longer than one hour, so that's something already

Gameplay: No options for battle difficulty, so I panicked a bit at first, but at the end I did not really have that much difficulty, except that boss battle.
Another thing, I'd like to point out, is that it took me ages to realize that Ean's shape shifters abilities could be used in battle. Because after you got the first statue, you hardly got any info about it and you're left to try it yourself. Also, If we didn't look at the menu screen (which everyone does, but still), we wouldn't have known he is a shape shifter for Christ sake. Every other character told you their class and what they are good at, so I think it's fairly understandable, that I didn't figure it out from the beginning (which might I add, could have saved me some trouble).
Side quests were fun, but I don't like that you can't complete all side quests.

In short the game has: a good storyline, awesome characters and side characters, beautiful maps, decent battles and replay value (even if the multiple endings are nothing but choices you can make at the end, instead of something that is slowly done through the whole game). I hope Aveyond 4 will have more references to this great game, than Aveyond 3 had.

This was my second RPG game I played after my first, Aveyond I. After playing Aveyond I then going next to Aveyond II it was awesome because everything was so new. The windowskin, the font, the tilesets, everything. Though, on the facesets it could have been done better than RMXP facemaker... slacked off a bit there. Nonetheless, it's still a good game I always enjoy replaying.

also i bought this game a few years ago on a diff account using the email tearsofbahamut@netscape.net or aigoth@yahoo.com">xaigoth@yahoo.com, but you see the computer i bought it with is out of commission and the email accounts nolonger exist (well the yahoo one does but it deleted every email i got and saved in the 3 years it took me to afford a new pc) was wondering if there is a way to work around this or do i have to purchase it again?

I had downloaded the trial from BFG (ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT) and when it ended, I felt sad. I think I'm going to forage for money and see if I can get the game because, from what I had played so far, it was very great! Nice graphics, the monsters weren't too hard to beat and gave out reasonabe rewards for the effort, and the music was different than the other Aveyond games. I think it fit with the changes in scenery! Loved it!

I really loved this game, but I found all the gummy caves very easily and I was done with it in one week (I played 12 hours). I love the gameplay, and battles, the music, and the characters. Very good game. A must buy if you have played Aveyond.

Great game!!! I was a lil disappointed cuz it started out with completely new characters and a whole new story line but despite that, the game was amazing I loved the cuteness between the characters and the game was fairly easy Definitely one of my favorites.

OMG this game is so beautifully made and the music is really amazing.

I liked aveyond very much . I liked all Ean's transformations but the vampire was my favorite. And many features like changing of expressions.

I absolutely love this game! It's possibly the best of the aveyond series. I have replayed it many times, and the storyline and characters are great.

EDIT: Okay maybe not THE BEST but I love it pretty darn much.
