Chamber of Infinity

I said that the Chamber of Infinity was under construction, and shockingly enough, it actually was. Chances are I'll end up changing a lot of things first, so be on the lookout. Anyway, I thought I would take the time now to introduce you to me, my interests, and my cottage.

Also, just so we're clear, I made the banner. Granted, it's incredibly bare, but I made it hastily in five minutes. I'll make a more sophisticated one later.

Aedious - A History

Darren "Aedious" Hunter was born in 1988 in a small town in Southern Canada alongside his twin brother Daniel "Danny" Hunter. Darren is the older of the two, being seven minutes older than Danny. You couldn't tell, though, because they're fraternal twins and Danny is a lot taller (Aedious is a mere 5'10", while Danny is 6'3"), though Aedious is the better looking of the two. Aedious also has two sisters: Naomi is 24, married, and studying to become an artist. Cassandra is 16, bisexual, and is still in high school.

The name Aedious (Pronounced Eh-Dee-Yuss) was officially coined in 2005, but it is the result of an extensive evolution process. Originally, I went by the username of Aido when I joined my first community. I kept it for nearly two years, during which I became an administrator on said forum. However, one day someone confused me for a girl, and upon asking, I found out it was because of the name. I slapped a few letters in and came up with Aegios. I kept this name for another two years before growing bored and coming up with the name Aedious, and I still use it to this day.

Currently, I am in college and working towards my degree in Architecture. However, computers and game programming will always be my first love.

My Interests

You mean other than women? Heh, just kidding. Anyway, my primary interests are computers and game programming, and while in high school, I found out that I had a nag for Architecture. By the same token, I am an aspiring writer who enjoys writing either intense sci-fi/fantasy or graphic tales of betrayal and bloodlust set in the modern world. Currently, I'm working on a full-length novel entitled Predator's Storm. As for what it's about, you'll just have to wait and see.

Music wise, I'm a big fan of metal and the symphony. My favorite metal bands are Metallica, Slipknot, and Korn, and my favorite orchestra is the Chronos Quartet.

Movie wise, I'm a total horror movie enthusiast, almost to the point where I watch movies so I can point out everything I find wrong in them and be a critic.

I am also a hardcore gamer, through and through, and I'm also a small-time speed runner. My platform of choice is the Xbox 360 and the PC, and my favorite games are Lost Odyssey, Halo 3, Call of Duty 4, and Fable.

The Chamber of Infinity

The Chamber of Infinity is more than just a name for my cottage. In fact, it was originally the name of a location in a game concept I made that was called Infinity's Requiem. Infinity's Requiem was an Action-RPG that was based around the careful management of fighting styles, weapon strength, and magic.

The story of the game is as follows:

Infinity...

No beginning...

No end...

If one were to control Infinity...

What he could do was limitless...

In the Third Age of the Infinite, the mighty kingdom of Arremar ruled the land. Her leader was the mighty King Arten, a powerful and holy man. Under his rule, the five nations were united and at peace.

To the north was the Nation of Water, Aquoiu. Its people, darkskinned and slender, had mastered the use of water magics.

To the north-west was the Nation of Fire, Myriac. The warriors of Myriac were the best in all the land.

To the west was the Nation of Earth, Sei. Strong and hardy, the people of Sei were the crafters of the finest armors and tools.

To the south-west was the Nation of Wind, Youvo. Well-humored and kind, the people of Youvo were the scribes of the land.

To the south was the Nation of Time, Novaria. Deep rooted in history, it is said that the people here could forsee future events.

One day, a mysterious cave was found in the land of Novaria. From this cave came the songs of the ages. King Arten sent his wise men to the cave and ordered them to enter. Inside they found the entrance to the chamber...

The Chamber of Infinity. Within the Chamber of Infinity rested the Crest of Infinity. Everything that has happened and ever will happen was within the Crest. If one were to control the Crest of Infinity, they could reconstruct everything. If one were to destroy the Crest of Infinity, past, present, and future will cease to exist, and time would be erased.

Soon, the people of Arremar began to quarrel over the Crest of Infinity. Some wanted King Arten to hold it. Others wanted it for themselves. Soon, these fueds erupted into civil war.

For one hundred years the war raged, and Arremar was torn apart. Sick of the constant fighting, the remaining wisemen seized the Crest for themselves. Using its infinite power, they cast it into the Other Realm. With their prize gone, the war ended, and slowly, Arremar was rebuilt.

Two thousand years have passed since then. Arremar no longer exists, and neither do the five nations. In its stead, the Imperium of Mesmira now reigns supreme. Under the rule of the tyrant dominatrix Ireva, the Mesmiran War Engine has seized the world, and now, the sun never sets on Mesmira.

Deep within the underground of Mesmira, a deranged cult known as The Black Cerebrum has been researching the Crest of Infinity. Now, after two thousand years of being lost, it is once again within the reach of the wicked.

It is now the Seventh Age of the Infinite, and the last years of the world.
